New League Idea (seeking feedback)
Does anything like this already exist and if so are there openings? If not, would many be interested?
I'm wanting to create a "real-time" league that runs in step with MLB. The premise of this league would be a little different though, Instead of relying on "in-game" player development, scouts, financials and managers I would like to reload the player database to match their OOTP ratings each season. This would make the game less about AI and more about real-life scouting of guys who will become good in the real world (and in turn have better OOTP ratings the following season) which would make following their real-life careers a little more exciting as well. The league would also sim real-time trying to do day-per-day as much as possible so owners can really manage their squad.
Does anyone know how difficult the following potential issues I see would be or see other conflicts I'm not thinking of?
*Note I don't consider the slow pace as an issue, the real time advancement is one of the exciting aspects to me. I get guys want action but there are plenty of leagues that sim a week at a time out there already. This could be a good "other" league for those who find it too slow.
1) updating player ratings while keeping modified team rosters each year
2) keeping a log of players added to the OOTP database that weren't in the previous season's pool. (So we'd know the draft pool each season).
To this point, I'm also curious at what point in their careers OOTP currently adds players into the game
