Player is Dtd long after his initial timeline

Hello, I have Luke Voit who is a two-way player (back and forth between Majors and Minors for me) and has a day-to-day injury: Strained-Hamstring. Recovery time was listed as a week. So he was in the minors at the time so I put him on the 7-day injury list. At some point he came back and played (after finished IL stint) and it still had the same injury listed for him and still the same (original) date of injury. Now here we are almost 3 weeks later ... and he is still day-to-day. Please see screen shot. I want to play him but I can afford to wait for him to recovery but this seems like a bug in the game. Is he going to be stuck with Dtd injury for the rest of the season?

What can I do?

[Update] - I put him back on the 7-day Minor league IL --- because as you can see ... my minor league coach kept playing him. Maybe this second stint will get him over the DtD injury?

Sometimes injuries don't heal as fast as people thought, just like in real life. Though, I've never seen an injury heal faster, which also happens.

Sometimes, like also happens in real life, players reinjure themselves trying to come back

Another way to do this is: send him to the minors, but in the player strategy use the "bench player for x days" setting to keep your minor manager from playing him. As soon as the injury is gone, bring him back up and CLEAR THE BENCH PLAYER NUMBER before you start a game, because you can't fix it during a game you manage.
