As the LabRats move up to Iron, they have decided that funds need to be freed up to build a stronger pitching staff. Having acquired Tony Perez (via the Reds Team Mission), the LabRats have decided to try to deal Tony Pendleton for some mutually agreed price. They are grateful for the contribution that Pendleton has made and hope him well in the future.

(I felt I was cheating a bit on the Red theme by using Pendleton as part of the theme based on 2 late career seasons with the Reds. Perez fits the theme much better.)

Just a reminder to everyone to check your tourney rosters tomorrow morning! After the live card rating updates, for bronze and iron, at least, you will likely find your existing roster won't work any more.

Almost Perfect

The only discrepancies were Sunday and Las Vegas being placed in separate stone leagues, which has only the effect of OL potentially having two PT stone champs. Other than that, all the rest of the levels populated correctly, so we should, depending on PT scheduling, have crowns in six levels. Nice work! S272 is attached. I can do it.

I must add that my regard for Jason's hard work has grown as I try to fill in for him. Can't wait for his return and hope I don't screw anything up. I have assiduously avoided doing things I'm not absolutely sure about, figuring that, though I may leave a little to clean up, it will be just that.

Bronze

All teams made it. Four teams sit alone with one team in each division of the AC, two teams in the NC East and one in the Central.

I will do Bronze this week-as a heads up after this week the following two will be extremely busy and I will only be able to do stats on weekends if needed.

Iron

Iron 219 populated with 8 OL teams, lightly scattered. Three sets of two get to go head-to-head in their divisions...West Burlington/Inland Empire, Gettysburg/Daytona Beach, and Left Coast/New York.

Rookie

Five OL teams. (Interestingly, four "Pac" teams are present as well. Haven't seen those before.)

News out of Sugar Hill, after this week I will be dropping the team. Happy to keep them in to fill a spot but they will be completely unmanaged.

It's not a knock against the game because it needs to appeal to the masses. I have no interest in missions (and have skewed prices on marginal cards in the AH) and spending time on two teams entering tournaments to try to earn packs is more than I want to do especially with OOTP Go coming out and reviving the projects I used to do on iOOTP/MLB Manager besides OOTP and FHM7.

Coney Island will stay for the long haul as I can devote all of my PT time to one team and they have had some fortunate pack luck. Even without the luck the Warriors have been the team as its been my team name since I was in the Legends of Baseball APBA computer league 20 years ago.

Bronze is pretty quiet this week due the spread of the six teams/5 divisions with only 65 games this week. Same number of teams last week but because of the division layouts we got 97.

Gem City (30) and their division partner Sugar Hill (29) lead the way followed by Keystone (24), Shinbone (17), Baltimore (16) and finally Otsego Lake (14).

Early days in the season, but Kaipo decided they needed even more pitching.

In comes 100 Satchel Paige for 89k. Out to the reserves goes Andy Ashby.

Arrow Custom Team Logos

My Keystone Kops were promoted to Bronze level starting today and to my surprise, I did not have to do anything with my custom team logo as it did not disappear, as had been the case, off and on, in the past.

Did anyone else notice this, too?

Nope, Kaipo's logos disappeared. Had to reapply them.

Arrow Big New Additions For Keystone

I am very proud to announce that my Keystone Kops, which from day number one has been a Pack-Only team, finally finished the huge task of completing all of the Live Card Missions.

I had been waiting to collect one more Dodger Live card for over 3 weeks and I finally got it this morning, from opening 4 reward tournament standard packs that I won overnight.

So for completing the NL Mission set and for completing the whole Live Card Mission sets, Keystone just collected the following SE players:

93 Roy Campanella
99 Don Sutton
100 Enos Slaughter
100 Cy Young

Early on, it was a very tough go however, I am having a blast playing my team as a Pack-Only team and I highly recommend it for those of you who have never tried it before.

I'll be the first to admit that I was tempted a few different times to go into the AH and just buy a player or two who were listed as 65pp, just to finish off a mission or two however, I stayed very disciplined and I am super glad I did as it makes this huge accomplishment so much more enjoyable.

Diamond OL setup

Well, diamond league setup for OL is about as "perfect" as we could expect. Three teams in the AC, two in the NC. Both teams in the NC (Nowhere Men and Annandale) have cross-league series (vs. Cary and Lemp Ave. respectively) so all five teams should qualify for OL champion this season. It should be an interesting mostly FTP league this season since BFF and OL are sharing the same placement. Gentlemen, start your engines!
