Tigers cut veteran outfielder, Jake Marisnick

I was upset when the Mets made him as much as a 2-month rental. Strong defense if he can be bothered, but what a waste of a lineup spot.

(As a Jays fan) I'm a little confused about criticism of pulling Manning during the no-hitter. The guy was noticeably fatigued, struggled to get outs in the 7th - there was no chance he was going the distance. Plus isn't he just back from injury? Plus it was a close game...

Yes, the Mets thread from late 2021 was a joy in its own agonizing way. I go back and re-read it, every now and then.

The problem is mainly with Matt Shepherd and the widespread impression that he’s just not a baseball guy, nor a very compelling broadcaster in general.

I was gonna fire a shot at F.P. Santangelo, and how could the Tigers be last as long as he's still squawking, but turns out that he's gone for a year and a half. Hey, I can watch Gnats broadcasts now!

I don't find Shepard particularly annoying, but the supporting cast is hit-and-miss.

If only the Tigers would have given Impemba and Allen (a pair I liked) two chairs to sit on.
