After getting through the final Football Manager pre-release deadline I have some free time again.

I turned the two association finals series into tournaments in-game. Doesn't quite work how I want them to so I may just revert them back to Association Playoffs, but in the meantime I did logo sets for them since they show up as competitions:

I messed around with elements and colors of the official Presidential Seal to come up with the logo for the President's Cup. For the Tucker-Wheaton Cup, I traced over the top third or so of the Stanley Cup in Illustrator, harkening back to the first 20-30 years or so of the cup when it was a "challenge series" instead of something that was awarded to the NHL champion. Do I like the gradient? Not sure - went back and forth on that and staying with light silver color but I'll stick with the metallic look for now.

The third logo for each one was something I whipped up while imagining that what it would be like if teams wore a patch for the competition on their jerseys.

I should note that I've decided 1905 will be a major year for the in-game universe, and at that point I'll upload a major batch of stuff to the public OneDrive folder and hopefully create a bunch of templates.

Your logos are amazing, thanks for sharing them! I've been thinking/working up my own sim where MLB starts then goes away, and your logos are perfect for it.

Make sure to elect Eugene Debs while you're in that decade

I've got my PCL league up and ready to go in my in-game universe. I don't have a uniform collage ready, but I did put up the Vancouver Mounties uniform in my story thread. Here's what it looks like with a comparison to the RCMP uniform that it's inspired by:

Here's how the entire PCL uniform set looks in the "Modify Colors & Uniforms" screen:

So, bad news:

There have been some issues with my fictional universe that require going to a backup, but the last time I did that I lost a lot of data - 25 years worth of leaderboard data and some other stuff - for some reason so I'm going to start it over. I also found that some things had actually never ported over properly from OOTP23. Why? I don't know.

Why do this? Because I figured out some things that you can do with the World Database while playing in commissioner mode that allow you to have a regional league while also dictating what foreign players are most likely to come from, via changing around the baseball quality of different nations. This would give me a mid-1800s league where the players are from the Northeast AND foreigners come in that model immigration patterns to the USA at the time.

In the meantime, I'll probably work on some random and alternate logos and post them here.

I've downloaded a .SVG of Patriot Pat and want to see what he'd look like as an alternate Albany Minutemen logo. There are some other ideas I have floating around in my head.

The good news: Since I already have everything up to 1905 pre-made it shouldn't take long to get back to where I was - just depends on how much I want to write for my fiction thread.

Hello, I was wondering if their was a link to the original NBBO that worked. The first Onedrive no longer works. In my save I am going to make an alternate universe where the NBBO is a feeder league to the MLB starting in 1871.

Hey there. I know this is way late but I'll respond.

Some reason OneDrive decided to time-lock all of my original uploads for the earlier games, but I'm going to re-upload a bunch of stuff in the coming days now that I've got a bunch of downtime.

Doing a fictional league as a feeder league to a real one is something I've never attempted before, so that would take some experimentation. So, we'll see.

So, version 2.0 (or is it 3.0?) of my fictional universe is ongoing here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=350846

The baseball world has just entered the winter of 1881/82, and the three new leagues in the Midwest have sprouted up, just as they did during the same winter the previous version.

Here are how things look...

The original league, once again, is the NATIONAL BASE BALL ORGANIZATION, founded in 1857.

Originally an amateur competition changed to a semi-professional format, the NBBO consists of 48 teams spread across two leagues and six regional championships (divisions), with each team playing the others in their region ten times to make a 70-game schedule (this will soon change).

Teams below will have their primary logos shown first, and their secondary "small" logos shown below those.

THE NEW YORK LEAGUE

Brooklyn Championship

Six of the eight original teams still play for the Brooklyn pennant, with Excelsior & Kings County having moved on to professional baseball in 1871.

New York City Championship

New York City has five of its eight original members, with Gotham, Knickerbocker, & Orange moving to pro ball in 1871.

Upstate New York Championship

Upstate, like Brooklyn, has six of its eight charter clubs, with Flour City & Niagara moving on in 1871.

THE NORTHEASTERN LEAGUE

Coastal Championship

The Coastal Championship has just one of its original eight teams: Trenton United. The other seven - American of Philadelphia, Massachusetts Bay, Newark, Olympic, Port Jersey, Quaker State, & Shamrock - all moved on at different times during the 1870s.

Inland Championship

The Inland Championship has six of its original eight members, losing Alleghany & Sportsman's at different times during the previous decade.

New England Championship

The New England Championship has more original clubs than any other region: seven, with St. John's helping found the first pro league after winning four N.B.B.O. titles from 1857 to 1870.

Next, uniforms...

Over time, I redid every single uniform to fit the OOTP25 and up format, which meant redoing some shirts, adding socks, and creating jersey fonts.

I made the shirts in an old copy of Photoshop using a template that I honestly can't remember the source of anymore, and finished the uniforms off in EriqJaffe's always excellent Uniform Maker, the thread for which is here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=336503

UNIFORMS OF THE BROOKLYN CHAMPIONSHIP

Uniforms for Atlantic & Star were taken from this site: https://www.threadsofourgame.com/shirt-design/, which has a listing and illustrated record of uniforms worn by pre-MLB baseball teams going back to 1849, as well as independent clubs up until 1900.

The one big change I made was that I found Atlantic's argyle socks from the illustration I used to look hideous with the rest of their uniform, so I changed them to a simple white sock with red stripe.

Continental was the first team I gave Argyle socks to, and since then I've added them to a number of other teams.

UNIFORMS OF THE NEW YORK CITY CHAMPIONSHIP

The uniform for Union of Morrisania is another one based closely on one for a real-life club based in New York City called Union that is found at https://www.threadsofourgame.com/shirt-design/.

A note about team names in the N.B.B.O. Many were originally found on a page called "Earliest Baseball Clubs" that I found at a since deactivated baseball history site that was hosted at MLB.com. Since that page went away, I supplemented with clubs I found at protoball.org, which is a research depository focused on bat & ball sports in the USA before the 1870s.

Some names I made up myself, and for some teams I used connections with other things as the basis for their logo & team colors, like using the Haarlem (Netherlands) city flag as the basis for Harlem B.C.'s logo & uniform.

Three more notes:

These previews may not be 100% accurate, as for some teams I made slight changes after initial creation that I thought made their uniforms look better.

Also, there weren't numbers on shirts until the late 1920s or names on shirts until roughly 1960, but I created team fonts anyway for aesthetic reasons should I or anyone who downloads these graphics decide to use them

The shields on some uniforms, such as Mercury, were custom-made by me in Photoshop and saved in their own layer.
