Best Time to Migrate?

Just ending the World Series on a long multi season sim. When is the best time to migrate from OOTP25 to OOTP 26?

From prior forums I think I remember that mid-season was not good, and that some new aspects of the new game would not take effect.

From the "Import Considerations" paper that Matt authored last year:

Import Timing

More than any version before, we would highly encourage upgrading outside of a season in progress. Generally speaking, upgrading after the playoffs have concluded, but before advancing to the off-season, is the best time to maintain a stable league. That way, teams will have a full off-season to evaluate their team and make roster changes.
If you import at any other point in the off-season, that should still be fine, but you may have teams “regret” some of their moves. They may have offers for players who have changed in value, or pending trades which have shifted in valuation.
Importing during the season will work, but it may always cause a large amount of roster moves immediately.

While it is referring to games coming from 24 to 25, it holds true for any year.

I migrate as soon as I get the beta. So far I have not had any issues with my league.

So, the best time to migrate is after the WS and before the off-season. When the WS ends when does the off-season begin, one day later?

Yes. When the WS is over you would want to advance to the next day and then stay there and wait for v26 to come out. Open v26, import your game, and then advance to the offseason in v26.

In my game my WS ended on Nov. 5 (Feb 27 in real time). I advanced to Nov. 6 and am now waiting on v26.

I am crazy I usually migrate the day of release or the day after and only once in the last 5 years did i have any real issues that caused me to have to go back and re-import later, NOW there were a few things and bug fixes that i was like dam wish i wasn't in the middle of a season for these but my universe didn't get effected negatively
