I play historical only.....do I need OOTP 26?

Like the title says, I play historical pretty much exclusively.
Should I get OOTP26?

Secondly, have there been any improvements to the match engine?
More animations, that kind of thing.
Thoughts?

I would recommend checking out the Changelist for 26. There's a link in this thread.
