OOTP 26 Public Beta Patch: 26.2.49 (Updated from 48 posted earlier)

Happy OOTP GO Release day!

Not only that, we are also putting out the next public beta version. I know people have been asking about the Opening Day patch, and we have made some progress on that and are ready for people to get their hands on it.

The new version is 26.2.49.

Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta.

• Update splits adjustment on import (should be less aggressive)
• Opening Day roster updates
• Updated KBO rosters including adjusting to the 2025 licensed players
• Improved in-game memory usage/rendering speed
• Fixed Live Start games mismatch, players on wrong teams
• Fixed some cases where random debut would pick an incorrect year for a player
• Updated historical sac bunt ratings, balance
• Fixed waiver claim order
• Fixed historical exhibition page mouse-over
• Fixed position not showing up in midterm emails for Learn New Position development program
• Fixed scouting accuracy on draft combine screen displayed not updating immediately when advancing a day
• Added clarifications to PPI eligibility on the player contract screen
• Fixed None selection in nation lists
• Reverted Camden Yards upgrades (causing issues for Mac users - will investigate and update)
• Fixed inconsistency in potential ratings relative display
• Updated new KBO logo/uniforms
• Fixed FG models not appearing in-game
• Fixed player search issues
• Fixed PT Is Active filter
• Fixed crash advancing in some Tournaments
• Fixed extra items in player action list
• Fixed 3d stadium scoreboard count showing post-action result
• Fixed socks loading from colors.xml
• Fixed players on wrong rosters from 48
• Added missing MLB manager records
• PT: fixed login reward text
• PT: fixed PT Live player sort and open game buttons
• PT: added nation to card export and the button “open folder” to the dialog
• PT: Fixed ask AI for strategy
• PT: Updated stamina calculation for early era tournaments
  ** Note: To fully fix, this will require both updates to the client as well as the server. We will advise when the server update has been deployed, until then there may be a mis-match in what the client displays vs what the server uses for SP. That should occur early next week, when this release is fully live.
  ** Adjusts early era fatigue recovery so likely will need 4+ SP for most tournaments
• Misc UI fixes, text updates, and general fixes

Important info for online leagues: This patch should be compatible in online leagues

How to access the beta on Steam:

• Quit OOTP 26 if it's running.
• Open Steam client -> Library
• Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 26
• Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
• Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code: ootp26betapt
• Click on "Check code"
• Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
• Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
• Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

To expand a little re: the Orioles Park at Camden Yards - we have discovered an issue where for a number of mac customers the model crashes on their machines. Unfortunately we have not been able to isolate exactly what is triggering that, so for the moment, we have reverted that model back to a much earlier version, before the updated LF wall and without the dynamic scoreboard. We will work obviously to get those changes back in as soon as we can.

If any users who did not have issues with the park wish, they can re-download the former version from here: https://cdnfiles.ootpdevelopments.co...mden_yards.zip
You can simply unzip that to your data/ballparks/models folder and replace the files that came in this update.

I'm guessing one could just copy their "ballpark" folder to another location before updating and put it back in the game, after updating, to keep their newer current Camden model? I have camera and other mods in my game and the less I have to do the better. PC on Steam.

Thanks for your work, still a lot of incorrect rosters, just quickly checked the Red Sox and Cubs, both have numerous errors still. I'm assuming the recent contract extensions will be put in the final correct roster file?

There are a couple errors with the Rangers/Mariners and with Reno/Sacramento players getting on wrong teams that we will fix up in a new build.

Nothing wrong with the Red Sox or Cubs though as far as I can see.

OD rosters do not mean that every player will have the same status they did in real life or be on the exact same level. Sometimes the AI calls guys up teams actually sent down, etc. We do our best to tweak this, but in the end it's up to the AI.

The contracts were a close call since technically they occurred after OD but we decided it makes the most sense to add them in. The build that fixes the Rangers/Mariners and Reno/Sacramento mixups will have those.

Not in this build, but thanks for the reminder. They should be fixed in the new build that fixed up the Mariners/Reno player mixups.

Building now. We'll probably just test it quickly internally to make sure it basically works and put it up tonight. So probably a few hours, unless there are issues with it.

Updated the first post links to build 49, which fixes the Rangers/Mariners and Reno/Sacramento mixed up rosters and also adds in the couple missing MLB manager records from 2024. If you already downloaded 48, then download and install 49 over it.

I am curious if anything has been done to version 26 that would have fixed the glaring glitch where outfielders run through the wall into the upper deck to try and catch a home run ?
