Exclamation Players running through walls

Fielders running through walls and into upper deck trying to catch a home run...is this fixed in 26????

This and no playoff signage is a real immersion killer

Could someone confirm if the running through walls into the upper deck is fixed, would like to know before I buy

Thanks

Because everything else about the graphics only establishes immersion, and so players running into the stands jolts you out of immersion.

Reminds me last season I thought I'd turned on the Jays on TSN and I'm sitting there for three or four innings thinking - nice, no commercials - before I realized -- I was watching OOTP 3D Graphics !! I didn't know it until, that's right, the guy ran through the wall to catch the fly ball! I'm sitting there thinking 'How'd he do ----- hey, wait a minute...!' OOTP Graphics team - cheers!

In other words,to all other aspects in my ootp 26 baseball fantasy world that would remind me that I am playing a simulation game,a glaring glitch like player running through the wall and into the the upper deck to jump for a home run is a huge contrast.

Funny response though.

Now if I can just get one from the developers

I have seen players running through the outfield fence and throwing the ball back into the field in v26.

The only instances I've seen of that are on a couple of user-made parks (I've seen it with Parc Jarry in particular). The issue isn't with the game engine, it's with the way the dimensions were written, and there's just not a lot the game can do with that.

Having players that will run through walls for you is great in a figurative sense, but not literally as in OOTP 3D animation.

I use default parks.... have never seen a player run through a wall in OOTP25... I have never really played OOTP26 that much to know.

I have never had this happen in OOTP Dev created parks. I have had it happen in 25 in user created parks but that is not an OOTP issue that is a park issue. Most likely that the ballpark factors are not correct and so players run to the ballpark factors over the actual on screen borders.

Yeah, if it happens in any parks that ship with the game, people should report them in the 3d thread with the full movement details, as well as which exact park you are playing in.

If it happens with a park from a community modder, you should mention it to them. Often it can be a case where they specify the grid ever so slightly off from where the actual fence shows in 3d, and so it's something they may need to correct. There might still be corner cases with some parks, but it's best to check with the modder first.
