The Superbas took the lead on three separate occasions, but it never held. The Phillies came out on top, 9-6. Jack Lelivelt left the game with a sprained ankle. The game was scoreless until the 8th, when Boston managed to score two. Then, in the top of the 9th, Brooklyn sent eleven batters to the plate, scoring six of them, in order to grab the 6-2 victory.
