Development Lab Suggestion

The development lab is lacking a feature that I believe would it improve it: allow the manager or general manager to designate which new position he would like a player to learn. Right now, the AI makes that choice and I believe it is limiting the GM or manager's flexibility to work with his roster. For example, I have a second baseman with excellent range and a good arm that I would like to have playing shortstop or ever center field, but when I want to have him learn a new position the AI will train him at First Base and I have no say over this. Similarly, if I have several good hitting catchers, I might want one of them to learn to play at Third Base (ala Joe Torre).

Anyone else like this idea?

Yeah, just put him in that position and he will learn it naturally. Then in the spring put him through the improve infield/outfield ability and save the long development lab slots for way more important things.
