Interesting. Again, none of this fights is in Parkers Boxrec. BUT there are two fights against Kasper and "KO" Spendolini in 1939, both KO wins for Hub.

Yep there's another Spendolini fight in April 1938 I found. Post on that.

Look what I found!! So confirms the info on the Find a Grave Site. Mistake on this article though is says Spartanburg, N.C. and it's South Carolina.

That Find a Grave is a Great site to reference to. I think pretty certain that K.O. Spendolini is Wildcat Spendolini. The Caledonion-Record of Feb 3, 1939 account of the Spendolini / Parker fight references him as Wildcat. Also believe there were some references in some prefight articles and the Caledonion-Record Feb 3rd, mentions this was the third meeting of Spendonlini and Parker.

Has anyone else been having any problems accessing This Thread? When I first log in I can go to the MODs section ok, but because I'd not been onto the site in a couple days I'd have to select to pull up threads back say to a Week. When I do that It takes me back to the main OOTP Forum front page and I'm logged out.

I finally was able to get into this by logging on, then selecting My Name at the Welcome, Rocco Del Sesto. Then I could select to look at the Threads I started and could then get into this one, such I"m able to write here.

I'll contact someone with OOTP Forum if the problem continues. Thought I'd ask if others seen any issues something like this.

I was working on some info looking up for Al Ryll and Joe Piasta. Going to finish Hub Parker, but, wanted to break away from that a little bit to refresh myself later and go back to Parker. So meantime I went to my Jan 1938 Ring and started looking at fights reviewed in it and came across the Ryll v Piasta fight and seen I had Ryll in my data base.

To not get too lengthly here, looking up info for Joe Piasta, I ran across some articles on the Piasta vs Sikowski fight on Oct 11, 1937. BoxRec has Sikowski listed as Caveman Sykowski. I believe I found the article where that naming came from but everything else showed me his name is Tony Sikowski with the Caveman nickname. So did a quick rating with what Info I could find on Mr. Sikowski and here he is for your banking of another tomato can fighter!

Oh My Gosh, no sooner sent the previous message then I ran across another Burlington Daily News dated Feb 16, 1939 and they give his first name! George (Wildcat) Spendolini, New Britain. previewing a fight by him against a Henry Wirtz which I was not looking for so had not run across it till now!

Attached a 1982 article I found that mentions George Spendolini referencing New Britain where he came from and his "meritorious service to Connecticut boxing. George Spendolini I then found on Find a Grave......DOB 4 Jul 1912, DOD 23 Feb 1985, George J. Spendolini on the burial stone along with he served in WW2 in the Army. Burial Saint Mary Cemetery, New Britain, Hartford County. Conn. . Think this is all good enough info to update the KO Spendolini entry and his one fight shown against Hub Parker to George Spendolini.
I'm going to make up a rating file for him. Do a little investigating more to see what else I might find fights for him.
