The contrast on this is awful and the sweetening of the photo makes it a little weird looking, but it has the advantages of a) not being photo-shopped and b) being a shot I actually took. Use it in good health.

Chico Ruiz (1970 Topps Vault) / Jay Johnstone (1970 Topps Vault) / Art Kusnyer (1972 Topps Vault) / Syd O'Brien (1972 Topps Vault) / Bob Oliver (1973 Topps Vault)

Kusnyer & O'Brien have on the hats used in 1971 so I guess they were still in use during Spring Training 1972.

Charlie Osgood pitched one game (3 innings) for the 1944 Brooklyn Dodgers at the age of 17. He passed away on January 23. This custom card, showing Charlie in a Trenton uniform, was included with one of his obituaries. It seems to be a better picture than any other I've found, including on this wonderful and expansive site.

Here's the original of that. Wire photo. I believe there's also a shot of him at home plate - and then of course he quit right after his first game as Rangers skipper to go back to coach college ball again!
