I haven't played for a few years, but bought 19 and excited to get back into it.

I seem to recall an "auto-play until xxxx date" option, to where you could set the league to auto-play months or even years ahead. I don't see that option now. Did it get moved or omitted?

So, what's up with the decision to make the lineup on the team home screen display full names? My relatively narrow Mac laptop can't see but like 5 or 6 letters before it cuts off. How about going back to the first name initial then last name?

love the game!

Still there. Just click the 'play' menu and go down to the 'auto-play until' section and select what you want.

It's still there, unless if you're in challenge mode, where you can only sim about a week at a time.

Click on "Play" and a menu will come up including what you're looking for.

Ah, I was in Challenge Mode. Thanks!

Honestly one of my favorite things to do (when I'm not doing a fictional league) is to start a historical league (in 1871 now!), go to work, and come back home and see what this unique universe has provided me.

I already commented on the part of the 3D that I thought needed a little work, now let me comment on what I think is the best:

Even though these are two small things, I think the 3D looks by far the best on

1. A headfirst slide on a steal to second

2. The slowdown trot as a runner scores without a play at the plate

Something about those two animations are incredibly spot on and you can only really appreciate it if you have the camera zoomed lower in (and maybe the players a little bigger too)

Hey there Jive.Oak,

Is there any chance you could dub on your voice or reshoot the video? You are barely audible even with volume maxed out.

Best,

No, it is still there. From the main page click on "Play" and it will give you the options for simming a day, a week, a month, a season or to any specific date you want.

I have held off on commenting till now really, because yesterday my very first reactions were not positive. I initially found the dark skin and new background of a playing field behind the screens we use to set lineups etc. distracting and hard to read (I have eyesight problems): I thought the new 3D was a clear improvement, but as someone else said, it was like watching a game from the Goodyear Blimp, and I thought the layout was too busy.

BUT...first, thanks for some great, hard work and commitment that went into OOTP 19, and I now, on the second day of messing around with it, see that it is a distinct improvement.

I imported an OOTP 18 league and opened the same league, day and game to play on both versions to see which I preferred today. I now see that the older version is more of an eye strain and the new one with dark skin easier to see, not sure why I didn't get that yesterday. The play through is certainly more interesting, and only the effect of distance is an issue, but the graphics are much superior.

Also, the fact that you can go to small player icons, move around, reduce or get rid of widgets, and even make the top of the screen go away when playing means the clutteredness of the initial impression is not really important, since you can unclutter it to a much greater degree now.

I like it and am grateful as always. I do have one question, which I asked in two places yesterday but can't find if anyone has answered: the link to the historical stadiums, since I play nearly exclusively Historical Leagues and Random Debut - when I click on it it takes me to some platform I don't know that asks me to register and pay something to join, and has limited access to that particular page.

So, is that right? Do I need to join some site to get access to the historical stadiums, and pay them for it? And is it a trustworthy site?

Second, once I manually download, assuming I am able to, that file, will the stadium come up automatically when in a historical league we play in the Polo Grounds or whatever, or do I have to go into each historical team and "edit stadium" to add the right one?

One other thing: is there a way to get the in-game scoreboard to show hits and errors? It only shows runs. Thanks.

Thanks and thanks again for a wonderful new version of the best baseball game ever. Wish I were retired so I could spend more time playing OOTP !

The animations continue to impress me as does the choreography of the players. Very well done.

Also love the new scouting reports! They seem more real now by a lot.

Many people were involved in remaking the scouting reports. Matt, of course, but also NYY #23 and endgame (the two stalwarts), among others. They deserve a ton of credit for turning this feature into something OOTP can be proud of.

Is it my imagination, or is the toll on system resources greatly reduced?

Right now Add-Ons Central is not up and running for the OOTP Community Hub which you can find here. Once it does get up and running, you will be able to utilize Add-Ons Central to do the stadium thing in two steps "download" and "install" from inside your game, no muss no fuss. Just follow the directions on the page I linked you to, and instead of copy/pasting that xml link with ootp18, substitute ootp19, and you'll be able to mod to your heart's content. If you can't wait that long, you can follow the directions and use ootp18 in the xml link, and you should see a bunch of mods including three PStrickert's historical stadium mods (or something like that). Do the download/install thing. Just understand that it's not as up to date as the OOTP19 mods will be when they hit the ground running. In other words you won't get any stadia for 2017, or any other updates that happened between OOTP18 and OOTP19. S'up to you.

Everything disappearing during the play so I just see the stadium might be the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Where do we see pitcher arm slots? I can't find this and I'm either overlooking it or it's somewhere I didn't expect.

Also, how do I move the widgets during the game? I try to drag them and nothing happens. I have customize widgets selected as well.

Love the game so far, as always better than the last. One gripe though... ZIPS appears to be garbage for translating to OOTP. Rockies SP in 2017 while being heavily comprised of rookies and 2nd/3rd year SP had an ERA of 4.79 (Coors), those same pitchers in 2018 OOTP which they would have "more experience" have a 6.38 ERA in OOTP 19. The ratings this year and the resulting stats feel so.... off from previous OOTP versions.

Also, bring back Service time in players personal details. It seems minor but it is annoying to now have to go to contract status over and over to find it instead of looking at main player page

It's right on the pitcher's profile, directly below velocity.
