I think I'd rather go with catcher Jamie Nelson, who played only one MLB season, 1983 with the Mariners. He was purchased by the Cubs from the Brewers on December 2, 1984, and returned to Milwaukee March 22 1985. This name would also fit in Topps V alphabetical order.

I have completed and uploaded the 2017 pre-season release of the Facepack. This version includes 445 new photos:

347 new player photos, including 257 2016 player debuts
8 new manager photos, including 3 2016 manager debuts
61 new coach photos, including 29 2016 coach debuts and 22 2017 coach debuts
29 new umpire photos, including 3 2016 umpire debuts

Since the last Facepack release in March 2016, 55 formerly-missing players and 26 formerly-missing umpires have been found. I have also corrected one player ID error, one manager ID error and one umpire ID error. I renamed nine player photos to remain consistent with SABR and Baseball-Reference.com.

Now why would I post a photo and claim it came from Pinterest when I got it from this board. Really! you now think that what? I have stock in Pinterest. Some people need to check their ego's at the door. When a person requests a photo on this board I do a file search thru my pc to see if I have a file of that player. Man this is really getting ridiculous on this board lately. Makes you really think twice about helping others when you get attacked for doing it. And if you had access to that photo why not try sharing it with that person rather than attacking me and accusing me of taking credit for a photo on one of your post.

There's a policy here of attributing all posted photographs, accurately, as best as can be possibly determined. The moderator shares an image, it winds up elsewhere on the net, reposted here and credited to another source - there's nothing more annoying and nothing more disrespectful to the etiquette here than for somebody to not even take the time to do a simple search to see if the image they are about to post is actually from here. It happened to me a few weeks ago and was never even acknowledged by the poster, who had already been banned once and is back here under a new identity.

When politely asked about this - and I'd underscore this again, by the moderator who keeps this site going - instead of "oops, sorry, had no idea" we get a paragraph-long defensive, petulant lecture and the moderator gets blamed for not immediately remembering and re-posting one of the, what, 5000 images he's already posted here? He gets told to "check his ego" the same way I was called an "elitist" for asking that we not let this thread turn into just another site full of the same baseball cards that can be found anywhere and everywhere else.

It's unacceptable.

I have been largely avoiding the site lately and am going to give it a day or two's thought but my inclination is to depart permanently. My livelihood comes from politics and there are sites in that field with better conduct on the part of posters than I've seen here recently - and that's saying something.

True, I am a "resurrected" poster, but one who has trying very, very hard to avoid the kind of mistake I have done, again, to draw ire. The image was the Monteagudo, and I admit that I did not do a thorough Google search to be properly track how I acquired it. What I did do was realize that I had deleted the unedited image from my files. All I had saved was the custom. But mine was nothing more than an attempt to share, and I said at the time I'd lost track of its source.

We should all redouble our efforts to ID the source of an image, at the risk of not being helpful. But at the same time, it seems like there have been times where a request has been ignored by someone who could help, but we hear from them only when a third party shared their find. And I am not directing that at any one person, I swear.

I do not think there is anyone posting here who has malice in their heart; we should save that kind of anger for the low-life who has been selling everyone else's custom work on eBay,.

I never think to search for a player that another member makes a request for....because I assume that if they are making such a request because it already does not exist on this site. The photo came from my file which is labeled piniterest. I am not looking to take credit for any photos. Nor am I looking for any recognition. My only intent was to help the member that requested the photo. That is truly my only intent period. I have thousands of phots on my PC and I would be lying to all if I could tell you where each and everyone came from. In fact these came from pinterest at the same time. To avoid this problem I promise not to post anymore to this site. Thank you to all that appreciated my posts in the past.

I don't see what all the huff is about. The guy got it from pinterest, but someone there copied it from here. Scott showed that is what happened and the original poster gets mad? With a thread as long and as storied as this one, I suppose there is bound to be friction because of all of the contributor's and the way they perceive this board should be. It's just the way it is. I saw no accusations by Scott. What I saw is someone's reaction to something that didn't happen.

We are all here for sharing the common bond that brought us here in the first place. While my own interest has waned over the last couple of years, I still visit this page every day if I can. I still enjoy the pictures being shared. Maybe instead of worrying about he said/she said, we should get back to enjoying this place for what it is...a place to come to share a piece of history with fellow fans.

Leave the name calling for the politician's.
