I'm still hoping someone has the actual photograph for that 1890 Pittsburgh team the woodcut is taken from. It's one of the first things I look for when new auctions are started.

Dick Kauffman played with the Browns in 1914 and 1915. While searching for a presentable image, I came across this listing on Newspapers.com of Kauffman with the 1915 Atlanta Crackers. Still not ideal, but at least Kauffman is recognizable as a human being in a uniform. I added a little color to the cropped image.

Mariner Fans,

JUST UPDATED FOR 2021

I have put together a complete player photo history CD of the Mariners from 1977 through 2021.….2760 photos. Player photos are grouped together on the CD in the order of each player’s first year on the Mariners roster. Every photo has a description under it as follows: "1995 John Doe SS 95-99" meaning he was a shortstop for the Mariners from 1995 through 1999.

99+% of players are pictured in their Mariner uniforms. A few players are pictured in another team’s uniform because they only appeared in a few games for the Mariners.

All photos are a decent size. No postage stamp size pgotos.

In addition to player photos by year, CD contains images of yearbooks, media guides, team photos, programs, & pocket schedules for 1977 through 2021.

Anybody like this guy as Carlson? This was extracted from a group photo said to be the 1920 Washington Senators in spring training. Carlson most definitely was there as he was trying to land a spot in the pitching rotation (which he briefly did). In the team photo, this guy is standing next to 6'1" Walter Johnson and is slightly taller. Carlson stood 6'3."
