I'm the biggest Broncos fan on the planet. That said, San Diego has absolutely gotten boned in this game.
WTF, going for two?

What a sad afternoon for the Chargers. Screwed twice in a big way. Let's see if they can do anything with 24 seconds left.

It is an exciting game and I never thought I would be making pro Charger posts.

I agree that the ref blew it by blowing the whistle too soon but after getting the clarification on the call i think the review booth got it right. It was just the refs fault for blowing the whistle too soon. Still it was an 8 yd loss. The chargers could have still stopped them.

Ed Hochuli - you and your triceps have been put on notice.
That was ridiculous. Oh, and my Green Bay Packers are 2-0. New York Jets: 1-1. Kiss my ass, Favre. |

You know i just dont see how that call is any different than the tuck call or some of the calls last monday night. Espn makes it sound like the call cost the chargers the game but what happened when they were up 38-31? Their defense should have stepped it up. I have a feeling that Denver's karma is gonna be reversed at the end of the year.

Go Niners. I think the offense had more yards in that game then about 1/2 of last season. I'd also bet JT is the first Niner QB in probably almost 5 years to throw for over 300.

Once the ref blows the whistle it's over. What they need to do in situaltions like this is allow the play to continue and do not blow the whistle. This way they can make their "on the field call" after the play is dead. Just because they allow the play to continue doesn't mean they cannot say it was incomplete or down by contact afterwards. Had the ref done that, he could have then said it was an incomplete pass and then it could have been overturned.
