Waivers? Why so completely FUBAR?
So it's June. I'm in first place. Cleveland waives a 21 year old first baseman who is hitting 348/388/500 in 230 at bats.
On a 20-80 scale he's a 61 contact, 56 gap, 50 HR Power, 48 eye, 45 avoid K's, plays 58 defense at first. According to my rated 80 scout. I put in a claim for him. I get the player. Remember I'm in first place. Not one team in the league below me thought they could use this player? There is a reason Cleveland is waiving him? Cleveland has waived this player to bring up a 32 year old first baseman who they signed as a free agent on 5-31. 57 contact, 41 power, 49 eye. Now I'm sure that this is just the difference in the scouting between our two scouts. But why does the AI not value the fact the player is 21? Why didn't any other teams put in a claim? |

It was like that in 6.5 also if it makes you feel any better. There was a long thread about this before the game came out because people kept seeing it in the reports. Really haven't been able to find a workaround for it myself.

This is the kind of thing you really hoped would be improved by a re-write. The AI always seems to disappoint. This is why I prefer online leagues because at least with all human competition you run in to these issues a lot less frequently.
