SQL Dump Fails repeatedly

I have attempted to utilize the SQL Dump feature within the database menu and specifically the CSV file option. I have made at least 5 attempts to date... the problem is simple:

When the process kicks off and begins to run through the dump steps. It runs through the first # of steps very quickly (10 seconds), however as soon as it reaches the point where it attempts to save players (37%) the program seems to freeze... now, how do i know this... because the typical answer would be to simply wait because there are quite a bit of players in the league... well, the last two times i have attempted this, I left my PC on overnight and both times the program remained at 37% completed... so this signalled that there was a problem... I am willing to wait for a few hours... but waiting 8+ hours is probably not the intention of the developers for this particular feature... here are the database parameters of the Database File:

Number of Leagues 16
Number of Teams 320
Number of Ballparks 288
Number of Players 32,903
Number of Coaches 3,053
Number of Human Managers 2
Number of Scheduled GAmes 20,397

Don't know much about this, but it has been raised . . .a bit loudly by others.

A bump with data... I ran a 16 team league for 110 years, majors/reserves rosters only. At the end of that period, a csv dump failed, also on 37%.

Database Info suggests there are 38,472 players. The players.csv file (1 entry per player only, according to smaller dumps) is 2.04gb, wasn't updated for the last hour or so the dump was supposedly running, and unopenable even in Notepad. Querying it with a vbscript however reveals it to have 4,614,004 lines (119 lines per player - and the dump never completed?).

dola

I don't suppose anyone has a game database which just happens to have slightly less than 32,768 players in it and fancies running a csv export?

Database dump not fixed?

I still have the problem with the database dump being stuck exporting players. I have 37k players in my leagues but I thought the patch was supposed to fix this issue?

yes? no? anyone know? Not that is that important but I thought that was one of the fixes in this partial patch? Am I not waiting long enough, the players.csv file was 400+MB when I decided to kill the game, shouldn't be that large of a file I wouldn't think.

DaveM0,

Do you happen to have a specific TT# that you are referring to? I'm having trouble finding this issue in our systems.

Meanwhile, if you don't, can you please describe the issue? Selecting the SQL dump causes your PC to freeze or something? Which SQL dump is it?

Thanks,

Steve

I'm sorry for the awfully slow response to this thread.

Obviously, some time has passed since you posted this issue, and the 1.0.2 patch has since been released as well. Are you still seeing this issue? I have not been able to reproduce it so far.

Please let me know!

Thanks,

Steve

Merged a few related threads.

Can someone please indicate if you are still seeing this problem in 1.0.2?

Thanks!

This issue has been resolved in the latest patch.

The problem was due to players with a quotation mark (") in a field. The game should allow this now, but if you're still having issues, do a search on your roster file for quotations and erase them out before reimporting.

Thanks!
