Found Photos--Why not in Historic Exhibition Play?

So, after struggling to use Historic Photos I stumbled onto something interesting.

I play Historic Exhibition. I like matching various teams and eras against each other or replaying world series.

While putting my cursor over players in the roster, I saw their photos next to their statistics.

When I went into game play, though, I only saw those face gens--and Babe Ruth never looked like a mosh pit guy in real life.

So I created a quick start game and photos were there!

Do photos appear in Historic Exhibition games or is that the only theme where you DO NOT see photos during game play even though they are there when you cursor over the player roster ?

Is there some way to play historic teams from say, 1922 vs 1931 and have their pictures show up and which theme does that?

Finally, has anyone successfully loaded historic ballparks into OOTP19. I have no previous versions since I'm a newbie. But what park mods are best and how EXACTLY do you install them into 19--where do you find them, where do you put them?
