I really wish this type of AI trade would stop happening
Team 1 (winning record, "buying") gets: Decent MLB player, Prospect A
Team 2 (losing record, "selling") gets: Prospect B Where Prospect B is worse than Prospect A. Seriously, why? Why would a team that's supposed to be selling give away one of their prospects in exchange for a worse one, AND an MLB player that they should be getting a prospect for anyway without attaching one of their own? This has been going on for several versions now, and it seems like some sort of quirk with how the AI handles trading. This is not a case of the MLB player being a salary burden, either - this happens even with 100% retention or when their salary is negligible. It's also not just a case of the ratings/prospect rankings being inaccurate - I've seen this happen many times and most often the selling team gives away the better player in the end. I hope this is something that can be looked at, as it does take me out of my immersion of my save quite a bit when I see things like this. |

Can you please provide an example of a trade and any settings you changed?
Is this a new Standard MLB game? I've been running several sims with the latest builds and it appeared that the St. Louis Cardinals were so desperate to get rid of Ryan Hensley - you know the guy that 49 Saves last year - for the first skinny fast low grade prospect outfielder offered and usually within the first 2 weeks of the season. I've had success in bringing up these issues with the Dev's and of course as a life long Cards fan I notice immediately when Cardinals players are traded when doing a sim through the season.

I've messed with trading preferences from favor veterans to favor prospects, but get this kind of thing happening no matter what. |

Another example. Notably, whenever there's a trade in this format (player + prospect for a player) it's almost ALWAYS the selling team that gets the worst prospect. It just seems really bizarre to me and like something is off with the logic.

I will add my example to this. Same thing happens as OP has reported. The "buying" team acquires a major leaguer AND a prospect. The "selling" team acquires just a prospect. But the prospect that the buying team gets is rated higher. Doesn't make much sense.
