expansion changes?

Hi: are there any changes to how the expansion drafts work to make them more like real life? for example, protect 15 players, then each team loses 1, then each team protects 3 more, etc?

Historically the draft had a number of different processes. The first drafts were that you could only draft from your own league, so the New Senators and the Angels then the Mets and Colt 45s had to choose from their own leagues if I recall.
I wish there was a way to make rules for each draft.

the last bunch of expansions have pretty much been done the same way; i don't get why OOTP doesn't make this more realistic, like everything else in the game is
