Can you have different teams from different eras in OOTP 16?

In one league? For instance, put all the World Series champs from the 90s into one league and see who was the best.

Can that be done?

If so, HOW?

Thx!

Yes, you can, but I've never done it so I can't really explain how to do it. But, hopefully now that I've posted someone else will chime in with the details!

Here are my notes from OOTP 15:

1. From the Main Menu Choose New Custom Game
2. Then Select Create Fictional League
3. In Step 1, Decide How Many Teams in the League
3. In Step 2, Switch to Historical Team Selection
4. Go Into League Settings Under the Global Functions Tab and then Select "Erase Career Stats of All Players"
5. Delete All Players
6. Import The Historical Teams You Want

I hope in OOTP 17 the process is more simple and automated, but this should work, as I've used these steps successfully in the past.

These steps would work if I just wanted to bring in one historical to to replace the current 2015 team and play out the season with 2015 teams?

You absolutely can do this, follow the steps suggested above

Once your "game" is setup (even though you do not have all the teams you want) go to "edit league structure" from there you can delete teams and add the historical teams you want back in

Murph...I did all that, except for #4 and #5. I am not sure why I would do that. It appears to have worked out perfectly without doing those steps.

What was your reasoning for doing that? I haven't actually started the league, I have just set it up, so I may run into unforeseen circumstances which #4 and #5 cover.

Btw, NONE of my players have historical stats, so I am wondering if #4 was a default selection?

As before, thx for that advice. It was fun setting up the league.
