Playoff format question
I'm a big fan of the current Japanese playoff format and was hoping to be able to incorporate it into my fictional league. In one of the rounds, the 1st place team in each divison or league (not sure exactly which it is) plays a lower-ranked team in a six-game series, in which the 1st place team is spotted a free win. In other words, it's basically a 7-game series that starts with game 2, where the top-ranked team has already "won" game 1. Is this possible to implement in OOTP?
I assume there isn't already an easy way to do it, but can I schedule playoff games manually and somehow manually pick the series winner? And have them still show up in league history reports, etc. as the winner of the series? |

Simple answer - no.
You can schedule custom playoff games, but you can't predetermine outcomes. |

I was more just thinking if I could manually schedule 6 games, then if the series ends up tied 3-3 I could somehow manually "push through" the higher ranked team as the winner. I'm guessing this isn't possible.
