If this player is young enough, I'd train them at all the above. And some time in LF and RF.
Then you have more options when they get to the majors Given the choice between using a player in the infield and the outfield, I usually go infield because the offensive bar is usually a bit lower there. Between second and short, depends on who is going to play the other position. Last edited by CBeisbol; 12-01-2020 at 10:05 PM. |

Second base might be okay, but shortstop would be out with a weak arm like that. Moreover, I'd go for CF for two reasons: 1) Overall, his OF defense ratings are better than his IF ratings, and 2) Good CF's are hard to find.

In a vacuum, without any data other than these ratings, it seems like CF would be his best position, followed by 2B.He could play anywhere, but truly good CFs and middle infielders are rare.

The player will definitely be better at second, but they will be fine at SS.

I'm leaning LF personally but not knowing his offensive ratings makes this difficult.

This guy is a stud. Play him at all of the above, but sooner or later start giving him the start at CF. Later in his career he can serve as a utility guy.

Voted for 2B based on poll, but I'd play him in LF. He's not good enough in CF (or really 2B, although with that bat, I'd take him) for my tastes (but I'm hugely biased towards outstanding defensive up the middle).

As long as that's 20-80 ratings that guy is a legitimate superstar defender at basically any position. 3b probably not because of the arm but he'd be amazing at any up the middle spot. If that guy isn't good enough to play 2B for you I don't even know what to say. He's an 80 2B lol. Last edited by ThePretender; 12-02-2020 at 01:22 PM. |

Looks like a really good defensive second baseman, but I'd not hesitate to plunk him down in center or left, either.

This player can play basically any position on the diamond (except catcher and, maybe, third) at an elite level
Where you decide to play them will depend largely on your other players If you have a better center fielder, play them in a corner If you have a better second baseman play them at short (and vice versa). I'd probably try to utilize the flexabilty (but it's all dependant on the other players in the team). If you want to put them at one position and leave them - then it's probably second If you choose, center, they will probably age out of it and need to go to a corner eventually If you choose short, the same, and you might find that shortstop with 80 range and 80 arm. But, ideally, you want to play a player at the most difficult defensive position they can handle (or that isn't handled by a better defensive player on your team already) in order to maximize your offense, |

2B. For me, he wouldn’t have a good enough arm for center. LF if you want him in the OF.

I would say CF and/or SS. Maybe if you dont have needs at both maybe make him a back up that bounces between those positions off the bench.
I did this with a guy and he has solid ratings at 1B, 2B, SS, 3B and slightly decent ratings in LF and RF. Maybe your guy could be the same way but different positions than what I've used. My guy couldn't handle CF. You could have a real swiss army knife type player on your hands. |
