How Do I Prevent a Fictional Player From Retiring From the Real Major Leagues?
I created a fictional player to play in the real major leagues, as one of the greatest players in history, alongside contemporaneous major leaguers. I just want to see his career unfold over time and see how he stacks up against the all-time greats.
The problem at hand is, I am five seasons into his career, he's already a 3x MVP, he just won his first ring with his team, he's 20 years old, and the game is trying to force him to retire. I don't want that. I want him to play his career out into his 40s. I keep restoring the game to a point before his retirement and the result is the same every time.
I would prefer not to unretire him each year and keep placing him back on my team. I also do not want to disable retirement for all players.
My settings are for the game to use real historical transactions and real IL transactions, although not real historical lineups. I would like to keep those settings intact.
I would rather change some setting for this player rather than change settings for the entire league, but I'm looking through player editor and I don't easily see anything I can adjust for this one player to prevent him from retiring.
Anyone have any idea about this?
