Lineup - Cold Streak / Form Slump

Curious to know how everyone deals with players
that are slumping, or generally just not hitting well. As an example, in my Rays save I've got Austin Meadows, really good hitter, 3.5 star current, 4 potential and clearly the best hitter on the Rays squad... just absolutely sucking. He's hitting .195 with 2 home runs and 17 rbi, thats 45 games into the season.
I've tried a lot to get him going, hitting him in different spots, 3rd,4th... even dropping him down to 6th. I've tried just platooning him against righties, as he's left handed. I've even tried giving him a few games off, but nothing seems to work.
Has anyone had any success 'fixing' a hitter like this who seems to be broken? His morale is now terrible because he's playing so badly, and no matter what I try it doesn't seem to have any last improvement.

Wondering if people have success using consistent lineups regardless of performance, maybe I'm trying too much to fix him?
I'm not using challenge mode, but storylines are enabled, maybe despite his ratings, he's just not meant to be any good?
He's got option years, maybe sending him to AAA might fix his morale issue, if he starts crushing their pitchers? But I feel like he might be too good to just demote as well.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is just my opinion
1. You can't break a slump sitting on the bench. But I try 2 days on 1 day off. I move them down in the order and keep them there. Until they start hitting. But remember one hit even if it is a home run does not break a slump. If playing out games work to his other strengths, does he have a good eye, have him take pitches, can he run, bunt, steal, play defense well? Put him in spots to do those things. If he does have a big platoon splits the platoon him.

Sometimes I can be an ogre. I usually built up lots of depth in minors and I’m always looking for opportunities to use my whole 40 man roster. Prolonged slumps with options usually puts you in AAA or a day to day injury becomes 15 day DL ( or 10). Any modern day team for me will use lots of SPers. Always shuffling rotation.
