What is the difference between short and long injury settings?
If one of the devs could give a bit more insight on what these do, it would be a great help. W
hat is considered a short term injury and what is considered a long term injury. What is the time frames on short term? Is it from day to day to weeks or does it go into months? In most of my online leagues, in 22, normal OOTP injuries were just too much and so we lowered injuries down to either low or very low. Even on low injuries were still pretty intense. So, I am very excited to see what these do so that we can set them correctly once we move from 22 to 23 in our online leagues. Thanks!

I have set long-term injuries to "none allowed". So far, in one+ seasons of historical play, I have not seen an injury longer than five weeks. I am not sure what the actual cutoff is, but that's my experience so far.

So here is my question. Let's say a classic injury setting generates 500 injuries. 300 are short term and 200 are long term. I'm just making up numbers here. If you set the long term to none does that mean there will now be 500 short term injuries or still 300?

I don't think that is how injuries work. There is a small chance of injury on every discrete play that happens in-game. |

If you are asking whether lowering long-term injuries causes the number of short-term injuries to go up I am about 99% sure that is not the case. The likelihood of each happening is specifically tied to these new ratings they have inserted.

Short term injuries I believe are 2 weeks or less. Long term injuries are around 6 weeks or more. Anything between those values basically gets "interpolated" between the values. So if you set short as very often and long as never, then a 5 week injury will be very rare, 4 weeks would be average, etc...
They act independent, so no, turning off long term injuries will not increase short term ones. |
