Santiago Rivera
Santiago Riviera
1937-1946 Global ID 81558 sex male division lightweight nationality United States residence New York, New York, United States won 1 (KO 1) + lost 17 (KO 5) + drawn 0 = 18 Boxrec gives this as his 1944-1946 record. The 1946 RRB has a record for him, 1937 through 1945. He was winless in 57 bouts with 5 draws and was stopped 10 times. The 1944-45 record in the RRB is nearly the same as the record posted in boxrec but it inludes one additional stoppage by Willie calhoun in Boston. Combining both record we have 1 win 57 (12) losses and 5 draws. His career highlight appears to have been his 3rd from last fight where he netted his tko win. Boxrec spells the name as Rivera but I used the spelling Riviera from the RRB as a "more unique" spelling. aka (Sammy Rivers) birthplace looks like Mexico City from the RRB. Bear

1958-1958 Global ID 21045 sex male division heavyweight won 0 (KO 0) + lost 2 (KO 1) + drawn 0 = 2 Utah LaMar Clark's first opponent. Went the distance in first fight stopped in second. LaMar Clark was once 45-0 with 44 consecutive ko's. His career is a prime example of the how there is more to a good record than numerical victories. Strength of opposition is a key factor and all of his victims are prime TC candidates as are any of their victims. They are coming. Bear
