I am surprised how much I like having the assistant GM. I wish I could ask his opinion when drafting, like I can with the Scouting Director.

When I'm playing through a season managing each game, I usually won't even bother setting up depth charts deeper than who the starters at each position are because it doesn't really matter if you're setting the lineups all day and making your own decisions during the game. The depth charts just tell the AI managers how to use their players. That's definitely the weakest part of the game, IMO -- the AI lineups and pitching staffs. Particularly, if there's players with very similar ratings, it won't split their time, it will just give time to one vs. the other. To help combat that, I usually change the AI evaluation to greatly value this year's stats so the ratings more immediately reflect how they're playing. I'd love to see that get an overhaul in the future. I envision some way to specify a general role for a player on a team, or some approximate goal of PA's at the end of the year, without being as rigid as "Force start". Oh, and I don't remember seeing that timer on the database page of how long you've played the game... if you spend more than a certain amount of time playing the game, does the game alert your local vulnerable adult social workers to stop by and see if you've gotten up from your computer to take a shower and eat? I just swapped the existing scouting director with the GM... most of the GM's have way better ratings than the scouting directors! Last edited by JD396; 03-21-2015 at 04:48 PM. |

Lots of interesting and useful suggestions. But all mixed in with comments and other discussion. How will these be collected for possible tweaks along the way?

I play GM only.. BUT I love being able to step in at times and take the control away from the manager to make a lineup change or a pitching change.

Turn OFF Complete Coaching???
Okay, I just thought of something in my overtired delirium. If I was to turn off the Complete Coaching feature and run the game in GM Only mode would that make it function in theory as OOTP 15 did with being able to both hire a coach and make ALL roster changes from ML down to winter ball??

I wish there was some feedback for why players won't sign with my team because they don't like the Manager's personality. There's this pitcher I want to sign, so I've tested my manager by changing his personality to all of the personality types, and no matter which I edit it to (Personable, Easy going, Normal, etc), it still says he won't sign because of a personality clash.

Another enhancement:
I love the little card that pop ups when you hover on a player, would love to see Tired % in there for pitchers when you're making a pitching change.

REALLY enjoying the is game.. Also just noticed this on Ruben Amaro Jr's card..
"Ruben has all the personality of a ham sandwich." As far as I'm concerned at this point Markus et all can drop the mic and walk out! PERFECTION.

Loving the game so far.
Any plans of adding Options on contracts that can occur in the 5th year of a 10 year contract for example? |

Hey... new thing!
Now when a player gets injured and diagnosis is pending, you get to see what the injury is! Yay!

Awards (semi-) Problem
In my long-running league, I always had the Relief Pitcher of the Year Award as my custom award. Now that this award is part of the regular awards in V16, I made my custom award "Playoff MVP". Unfortunately, on the player main screen, the awards icons now falsely say that previous Relief Award winners are the Playoff MVP winners.
I kind of doubt that there's anything that can be done about this, but I figured I'd mention it. BTW, other than this, the game is absolutely beautiful!!!!! Edit: I guess if I just don't move the mouse over the "C" icon (for Custom Award) revealing the name of the award, it won't bother me as much!!! Last edited by landru22; 03-22-2015 at 12:51 PM. |

During a game, when someone gets injured.
