Another tough loss, but I'm not going to risk Medwick missing the rest of the season due to injury if I don't have to. He has a day-to-day injury, it seems, but I'm still benching him for at least two weeks. I have the future to plan for and all, if I want to have better chances at winning more world titles than the Cards did in reality before the 1940's, after all, you know, folks. CD out.

The game scheduled for us against the Pirates on August 5th has now been rescheduled to be played on September 25th. That is all. CD out.

Another day, another loss. However, on the positive side of things, it looks like Pepper Martin may be back sooner than originally expected from his recent back injury. Will keep you posted, if and when I can and all. CD out.

Another needed win, in any case. Harlond Clift has now made his debut. Don't know yet if he'll be the primary third baseman of the future for us, but only time will tell. If we fall short this season, I suspect we'll be letting older players walk, or at least certain players walk, so that there's available spots for younger players. Hubbell has a rough day on the mound for the Giants, but he and his teammates more than made up for it with their pounding of the Pirates. We would at best be able to keep pace with one of them, no matter who won, in any case, today. That is all. CD out.

Just got totally blitzed here. Highly doubt we can really make up much ground in the rest of the season now, even if Martin is due back within the next few days to a week, unfortunately. Too many bad injuries to our key players, for one thing, this season, to allow us to stay in contention for long, it seems. CD out.
