I'm still making my way through stadiums as I finish up my 2021 Season Play. Playing American League (Tigers) so mainly AL Stadiums....

I haven't uploaded the stand or alpha blend files lately as I didn't see much activity on the board. I can start to do that if there is interest in ad updates and scoreboards.

I came here with my question, but it seemed that I should post it on the OOTP Mods Stadium Forum, but I saw where someone was told to come to the OOTP Mods Graphics Forum to have his request done.

Please let me know if this is not the right forum for my request.

I would like to have stadium signs changed in the the default 3d minor league stadium... I use it for all my dynasty league games because it is a small stadium with a rural background... it is semi-pro league with a very short season... 2,000-capacity stadiums.

I use one stadium for all teams.

Question 1:
Is swapping ads something a novice graphics guy can do?... I use justfan's software to make logos, jerseys and caps, but I am just average using them.

If this is a simple process and I get good instructions, I would do it myself... however, I will probably need someone to do it for me due to my limited computer skills.

Question 2: Would the graphics guys on the Mods Stadium Forum do it as a special request?... I don't know anything about that forum... will it be possible to get my request done there?

I have found company ads that I would like to be installed on the default 3d minor-league field... so I can upload them if the designer needs them to swap out... I just would like 5-6 ads placed on the fence to replace the generic OOTP ads.

Is this fairly simple and not time-consuming for someone who knows what he is doing... or am I asking someone to do something that takes a lot of time?

I do not want to impose on anyone.

Would appreciate your advice and help.

Question 3: Why are the stadium lights on during the daytime?

Eugene Church and et al,

Question1, these files can be edited. The adverts are just replacing the old with new. Mostly rectangular images. I create these on a new layer and cover the old layer. Save the file. Check in-game. Repeat. These files can be edited by most graphics programs, Photoshop, PSP, GIMP and Paint.net. The Alphablend_night.webp (plus the day file) have transparency. I just replace the sections that need fixing.

Question 2, 3D stadium makers may do requests but making a new stadium is a long process. Many stadiums have textures you can replace. This applies only to the non-ootp made stadiums. They must have a textures folder, ex. Armour Field_Textures. I copy the original folder and rename it to my team's name. Ex. Armour Field to Blue Knights Field. I then replace the old images but keep the original name. Assign the new stadium and verify in-game. This way I made stadiums that had local advertising and era appropriate ads. Only images in the textures can be easily edited. Some elements of the stadium may be team or city specific and these stadiums probably can't be used in other cities. These would need 3D editing.

Question 3, that's a question for the 3D stadium modders. I would think the time of day should trigger the lights to turn on. Maybe somebody hit the switch too early.

The best way to learn how to improve your graphics skills is to try it yourself. Always backup original files. You can't screw up that way. YouTube and the interwebs has multiple tutorials and hints to help with the graphics program you prefer. As you know, this site has many willing to help. Take your own advice that you gave to CD and try it your self.

Download them in sequential order. paulloukes made some updates to what I did. Apply them if you wish. He made changes to some files that I did not edit.

For anyone who is interested...I have completed a Modern Day 2021 Quickstart with every league within OOTP. It has all the proper uniforms, logos, stadiums, awards, roster rules as close to reality as possible. I also changed some league alignments to better reflect modern day. (a lot of them haven't been worked on in years). The Italian League is a bit tough, but come 2022 they will have 34 (Think) teams...so I will look to add those in for my own personal league at some point.

I also went through and made sure the weather for each city is correct. I wish they would use this as the new Quickstart...but what can you do lol?

PSUColonel, yes start from the beginning. My preference is to keep the files here as opposed to another site where they may disappear in the future. So I won't be making one single download. Plus I won't include other modders work in the download, that would be rude.
Also post 195 should be it's own post so you can get a better response.

Has anyone amended Progressive Field for the Guardians yet?

Well, I'm in the 2024 season, and now that I know how to do this, thanks to all the fine tutorials here and the base files provided by others, I've mocked up everything I need for Atlanta's team to now be the Hammers.

The attached files includes everything you need: ballcaps, unis, logos and (in the following post) ballpark files. Very little of this work was my own, save for the assemblage and plugging it into place on top of the work of others before me, so thank you to all of those who came before.
