I think I have posted everything I have of your Dad. Unfortunately, I have not yet seen any Topps Vault photos of him from that era. Perhaps some others have photos. We will all keep looking. Thanks for sharing your great memories and stories of your Dad and his team mates.

Does anybody have a Topps Vault or equal of Tim McCarver and/or Dick Pole of the 1974 Boston Red Sox? They would be wearing the all dark blue cap as shown here.

I don't have anything for McCarver with a dark hat and this is the closest I have for Pole. I'm not familiar with the light-colored hat band. Was that unique to Pole, or only used in spring training?

Topps did NOT photograph Tim McCarver in a Red Sox uni. Can't speak about Pole in '74, but I've never seen a color shot of McCarver/Boston.

The B&W of Pole with the white band shows a minor league spring training cap.

Thanks for your efforts on McCarver and Pole. Big Yaz, do you have the original pic that your pic came from? Dick Pole DID have a 1975 BBall card in the 1974 uni but I was checking to see if someone had the Topps vault copy that would be nicer quality.


Does anyone have Tom Egan with the Angels from 1974 in color as a Topps Vault or equal?

While doing some ID checks on another photo pack I noticed that I had corrected but not posted the Jack Rowe photo in the Facepack. The old Facepack photo, also shown on Rowe's B-R.com page, actually pictures his brother, Dave Rowe. The error stems from an ID error in the NYPL Spalding collection.I replaced the incorrect Facepack photo with the image shown below.

Sorry BRobby, I don't. It was probably a Topps picture of McCarver with Philly that I 'shopped the hat onto.
