This loss should really be assigned to the Orphans manager as he refused to remove Frank Owen from the game, after he had completely lost it. He walked 7 batters in total, including two with the bases loaded.

Brooklyn won 6-4.

WP - Jim Hughes (17-11)
LP - Frank Owen (13-19)

Record - 69-51

It looked like the Superbas were lost against Addie Joss until the reeled off a series of hits late in the game to come from behind and beat the Orphans 5-4.

Save - Rube Vickers (2)

Ken Turner kept Brooklyn in the game long enough for them to come from behind, pick up three runs n the 8th, and beat the Cardinals 5-4.

Bill Bradley was a key offensive contributor, going 3 for 4 with a pair of RBI.

That's five in a row for the Superbas.

WP - Ken Turner (11-7)
LP - Willie Sudhoff (12-19)

Record - 72-51

Esteban Lopez was player of the week in AAA!

Roberto Hernandez was player of the week in S A!

Brooklyn rose to #2 on the weekly power rankings! (Second only to the Pirates - the team that will keep them from the playoffs this year.)

Players of the week: Ginger Beaumont, Pirates & Fielder Jones, Americans

The Pirates clinched the NL. It is very likely that Brooklyn will finish second.

The Giants came back to tie the game in the 9th but Pop Foster's massive home run gave the Superbas the 7-5 walk-off win in 10.

It was the second Brooklyn homer of the game after a solo shot by Joe Kelley, who went 4 for 5 with 3 RBI on the day.

WP - Jim St. Vrain (2-1)
LP - Morton Wise (17-17)

Record - 77-52

We extended a whole bunch of our coaches.

Joe Kelley was named NL Player of the week, hitting .560 with a homer and 5 RBI.

Herm McFarland of the Browns won for the AL.

Brooklyn slipped a spot to #3 not he weekly power rankings.

Baltimore hasn't quite clinched the NL penner, but they are close.

A 9th inning, 2 out wild pitch is the only thing that kept Gene Wright from recording a shutout as the Superbas thumped the Giants 11-1.

Five wins in a row for Brooklyn.

WP - Gene Wright (15-10)
LP - Rick Kelly (4-5)

Record - 78-52

Don Bungay is leaving his role as hitting coach at AAA Vandercook Lake.

Pedro Sanchez (AA) has decided to retire.

Manger Alexis Robinson of Greensboro (AA) is leaving.

The Baltimore Orioles clinched the AL so they will be facing the Pittsburgh Pirates once the season is over.
