I would like to see interaction with players, a la team talks and individual conversations in Football Manager.

For pitchers, please list individual pitches in descending order. I'm tired of having to scroll a guy with five or more pitches to find out the last one is very good and makes him worthwhile.

I'd like to see something like this too. Maybe not to the extent of Football Manager, but maybe utilize the in-game email a bit more interactively.

if you look at the circle Area it tells TEAM and LEAGUE
problem is if you have many leagues of the same level its hard to tell which AAA league this guy plays for. In my world I have 12 AAA leagues and some team are bound to have the same initials i have one AA league with a San Diego, Texas and another one with San Dimas, CA. both are SD so a if you look at a player it will just say League AAA Team SD.
we really need to add a
TEAM
LEAGUE LEVEL
LEAGUE

so it will read TEAM: SD LEAGUE LEVEL: AAA LEAGUE: CL (California League) or what ever your league is

At 162 games per season plus playoffs ST etc. I just don't see this as realistic. AFAIK most RL manager rarely talk to the team as a whole. Especially before the game. Baseball is nothing like Association Football or Hockey or American Football. Getting pep talks is usually counterproductive.

What might be more realistic would be 2-3 times a year having a players only meeting. They are well documented.

It's already been mentioned several times in this thread, but it's worth bringing up again: the ability to change uniform numbers w/o having to go into the editor. Please bring back the old drop-down menu that would show all the unused numbers and let us quickly and easily select one from that.

And this is more of a feature suggestion than a UI change, but it's related: give us the option to set limits on uniform numbers, preferably broken down separately into pitchers and position players. That way we could go into settings and specify that all pitchers would be created with numbers between 11 and 59, and all position players between 1 and 49, for example. (With maybe an extra option to set a % value for players given numbers outside those limits, so that outliers like Puig and Jose Abreu would still be created, too.)

Isn't this already on the team home page under INFO-HISTORY-REGISTER?

Just found this myself, great feature.

One suggestion for the columns: if possible, I think it would be helpful to display have a column that displayed ML service time like "3.138" (3 years, 138 days).

The current "ML years" column isn't helpful for determining things like Super-2 or arbitration status, because it only displays a whole number. The "ML days" column isn't broken down into years, so it isn't great either; if I'm gonna need to break out the calculator, I'll just click on the player profile and get the info there instead.

"ServTM" column

I would also suggest adding a similar wrinkle to the "age" field so that it displays like "26.1" (26 years and some change, rounded to the tenth). Personally, I think this would be quite helpful, and I hope that some others agree.

Far right column

I'd like to be able to trade players from the International Complex. There's probably some rule somewhere where this isn't allowed in MLB, but I'd like it to be customizable ....

and maybe - in the Free Agent list - if someone hasn't been picked up after 2 years or more to have them be auto retired? Anything to help manage that list without doing manually would be a boon.

Staff Search Option for No Team

It would be nice if there was a way to only look at staff that doesn't have a team, so you could just focus on those staff that you could actually hire when looking under "Staff Search and Shortlist".

I would L.O.V.E. to see the BOXSCORE of my previous game in the managers home-screen and/or team home-screen. Just a link to the boxscore isn't enough, just as just the score isn't enough.

I prefer simming day-by-day and right now I'm "forced" to use the schedule screen (see pic). Which works, but is not ideal, cos as stated by a friend above, we don't get to see the new record after the game is played. Plus, i cannot bookmark the schedulescreen as such, only a date (if i make any sense... i now have to click "see current date" to get the days' games).

With the boxscore visible in the home screen, u truly have a overall view of your organisation. My games would be much quicker.

And last but not least: HOTKEYS/KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS.

It would be nice to have a Draft History tab in the League History section, where you could look at who was picked in previous drafts. You can currently only do it on a team by team basis, and can't see the chronological order of picks. It might be simply as easy as importing the draft log right after the draft is finished.

Some one else mentioned this and I'll second or third it. Make the interface more user friendly for touch screens!!!

it would be great to have a rating for batters that would tell u if they are balanced or favor hitting vs rt or lt handed pitching.

I know there has been a theme for more sortable columns. I would love this in the individual player profile when looking at history of batter/pitcher match ups.

Draft

I think that when you go to "Explore World", whe you co to countries to look for players (America and Canada), There should be a column or sort option for draft year eligibility. Maybe there already is but I have not found it. It would make it easier to scout players before the draft pool is "Officially" released. I also think that for the draft and for free agents there should be a level of communication. If you want t draft someone and change their position you should be able to ask them and receive a reaction. like if you draft a second baseman who can also pitch, You should be able to ask them if they would be willing to change positions, and if you get him and try to do that it affects hid mood or performance. There could be other scenarios also but that, I think, would be good.

Hi --

I have played various versions of OOTP over the years and I see that unfortunately one of my issues from many version prior has not been addressed.

I would like the grid display columns to be resizeable (and ideally, dragable/moveable)

As you can see from the attached PNG file I can not see the "Demand" column although many of the other columns G, PA, AB, H, @B, #B, HR, RBI, R, BB, IBB, HP, SO, GDP, AVG, OBP, SB and CS, are wider than they need to be.

Being able to cycle through the players list on the strategy screen. As it is I always have to go back out and back in on each player. If it just had a cycle slider like you do in the regular stats window it would be so much easier to do strategy settings. I almost don't do them because it's a pita to have to do it for each individual player out and in out and in.

Make it default to the last feature you were looking at. For instance I have two settings one for RHP for batting position and LHP for batting position but when I go out somewhere else this always goes back to RHP and I was on LHP. Just make it default back to the last page one was lookng at in the main stats screen.

Show more than one way a trade can be made. I get so tired of having to stick this player and that player in the box to see what the AI will take. Just have it show all the possible players that it would accept and then I'll make the decisions from that. I don't want to have to sit there and put in 700 different players just to find the crap player it would take to make the deal go through. I make a lot of trades that aren't what the AI suggests now and many times I don't have to give up a veteran or prospect I don't want to but it takes a long time each trade to find the optimum players for the trade.

The AI if I don't start the game with me as the one who can make substitutions will change the lineup I have made before the game starts. Right after I have changed it. I have to physically start the game with me as the substitution manager and then go back to options and put the AI manager back,in charge and then back to the game which I can then turn on auto and I notice he can't change again what I've made once the game goes into the game mode itself.

If there is one I can't find it but I'd like on the main standings screen my teams era and batting stats and stolen bases and k's and bb's as a team. I found this in the seasonal prediction screen but I'll be damned if I can find it on the main standings screen.

Oh this is a biggie almost forgot. Have the batting vs LHP and RHP stats remain on the profile/history screen from the previous year. Many times I go back to look at this and it's always blank. No stats are recorded and kept for the previous years LHP batting stats or RHP batting stats. I have to rely on those bars alone whether the guy can hit left hand or right hand pitching well.

1. Player overall/potential ratings in increments of 5 (... 45-50-55...)
2. Having the option of those ratings on a 2-8 scale as well
