Jack Coombs was sharp today and compensated for four Brooklyn errors as the Superbas beat the Cardinals, 7-1.

Chris Clarke deserved a win after pitching 8 strong innings, but Desi Larsen gave up three runs in the 9th and the Superbas lost, 4-2 to the Reds.

Antonio Perez homered for the 3rd time this year.

The Superbas handily defeated the Reds 7-1, behind a good outing by Art Devlin who went 4 for 4. Bill Sweeney homered.

However, both Jack Lapp and Antonio Perez left the game with injuries. Perez looks to just need a day or two off. We are more concerned about Lapp and await word from the team doctor.
