Like whats the point of exporting if we CANT import?

Agreed. Especially that they have it as you can't do this in one shot. Particularly being under OOTPs banner, where OOTP is a game where you can delete the entire FA pool in one shot, it's a pretty glaring absence.

Hello everyone,

As the titles says I think I am experiencing way too many penalties and injuries. Is there a way I can turn the frequency down?

I seem to always have a powerplay and then receive a penalty against me. I am getting over 10 pims a game, upwards to 18 and so is the AI.

2 top 6 players and 2 top 4 defensemen have long term injuries in a span of 2 months. 2 other top six players are playing through injury.

Right now it's the AI doing it, but my priority selection is... Very bad right now and prospect is my priority #1 in my list

Is there anyway to add cap penalties to teams while in commissioner mode? I'm trying to add the Suter and Parise buyout penalties but have no idea the best way to replicate them.

I'm not at my PC currently, but I'm pretty sure you can under the team edit option.

If not, then just put someone on the team with a ridiculously high contract.

I couldn’t see it on the team edit screen but I’ll double check again later.

Failing that I’ll add a cap hit to existing players as you’ve said.

It's not edtiable right now, although that's probably something we should make editable in 8, I'll put it on the list.

What are the rules that determine if a player is waiver eligible? I'm referring particularly to historical games where waivers didn't actually exist, but the game still uses them. Some players (but not all) will display a year next to their waiver eligible status - how is that calculated?

There seems to be an age limit of over-25 , but I've seen players as young as 22 being waiver eligible, so it clearly also depends on their contracts and the length of time (games played?) spent in the league.

It's confusing as during pre-season everyone is set to 'No' so they can be moved freely. Perhaps it would be better to display their true status, but ignore it except during the regular season.

The game uses the current NHL waiver-eligibility system, as explained in https://www.capfriendly.com/waivers-faq.

During the preseason, all players are set to be waiver-exempt so they can be moved up or down freely (but if they begin the season on a minor league roster and aren't normally exempt, they're still waived when the preseason ends.)

Hey guys, is there a way to change the skin to anything other than dark and fhm? Fhm causes the names of players to blend in with the dark background. Wanted something with a white background, perhaps? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm new to the game and was wondering.. Would it be possible to see player ratings for college hockey players that played in the 1980s and 1990s? For example, would I be able to look at Boston University's roster from 81-82 and look at player ratings, or Yales 82-83 roster? Thanks!

Historical Mode only consists of players who played into the NHL/WHA or PCHL. Jeff is working on backfilling everyone who got drafted as well, but it's a big project. They'll be a few players who got to the NHL, but not many.

I rejected renewal of a minor league GM. I cannot hire new GM from available GMs in Staff Free Agent Screen. I tried to hire as another job and then change job to GM, but that didn't work. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Yes, when you start up the game, choose "Start as Real GM." Then just choose Minnesota and you should be good to go.

I've no experience with specific hockey tactics, so was curious if these player-specific roles will work well in lines:

1 - speedy forward (18), gretzkys office (20), perimeter shooter (18)
2 - speedy forward (16), counterattacking forward (14), two-way forward (18)
3 - two-way forward (16), counterattacking forward (15), perimeter shooter (15)
4 - speedy forward (12), counterattacking forward (13), up & down winger (13)

each defensive pairing has a two-way defenceman with a defensive defenceman

I let the AI choose roles & tactics to see what it would choose & I ended up with 3 Danglers in my 1st line, so immediately started changing

I'm currently the GM of a WHL team. I had traded for a first round pick that turned out to be #1 overall in the WHL draft. I received mail stating I had the first selection in the WHL US Prospects Draft. Come the draft however, the team that traded me the pick got to select #1 overall. Is this a bug? Or did I only acquire the first round pick for the Bantam draft?
