Amazing, amazing work guys. If anyone gets the chance, maybe we could get the Quickstart updated with Honkbal and British League that's in the game officially now? This is an amazing mod and we're lucky to have it

I intentionally left them out because of how few players go from Honkbal to the Asian leagues (I only know Loek van Mil did it OTOH). You can easily add them in using a League template, though! Here's how:


1. Create a new 2024 game including only Honkbal and BBBF.
2. Go to Game > Game Settings > Global Actions > Save this game as template.
3. Return to the start screen, then start your save from the quickstart.
4. Once there, go to Game > Game Settings > Global Actions > Add a league template. The players and everything should be ported over right away.

For Live Start, you'll need to use the league template and maybe skip the entirety of the 2024 season, or use a shorter schedule. Since there won't be games to import to catch up, the as-is JPBO schedule will either be lopsided or cause issues.

The template and quickstart already have appropriate modifiers, pinched from [LEAGUE REDACTED] from the last unscrambled version of OOTP 23. If you want to tweak them, though, take what the KBO has and nudge it up a little more.

For my 700th post...something not made by me. I've been keeping in touch with 39_Ringo, and he's come up with some new logos for a pair of teams. Use them if you like!

The Jaguars adopted the new logo in 2006 as they felt underrepresented being known as "Tokyo's second team" so they rebranded to the Shinjuku Jaguars.
The Aces logo was adopted in 2013 to celebrate the team's 75th anniversary, but fans liked the ambiguity instead of the bomber jet original logo, and have kept it ever since.

In the meantime I made even more logos in my spare time. Some are retros, some are new. Thanks to Adobe Stock for providing most of the reference material.

The Hiroshima Phoenix also get a brand new identity for 2024, making the brand more recognizable and easier to read, complete with wordmarks adopted from the retro Nagoya Dragons (which they were able to obtain the licensing for the font used). They also finally moved away from using a modified Pirates P.

Here's a summary of some of the reworks for Set B in 2024, once I get my hands on OOTP 25 to get this set up.

Changes:
Sendai Hawks and Hiroshima Phoenix swap leagues
Osaka Bulls replace Kobe Thunder (they will get a new identity too... maybe.)
Sapporo Cranes and Osaka Stars swap leagues (Cranes logos will be updated in HD eventually)
Tokyo Jaguars become Shinjuku Jaguars
Chiba Pirates replace Matsuyama Arrows

Also, some teams are getting new stadiums for OOTP 25. We'll see how that goes...

Also new for OOTP 25 is new league logos! Both leagues decided to update their branding (and will eventually get new flags to showcase) and all team logos have been finalized for the B set!

Many teams will also be moving into "new" stadiums (by new I mean retro outdoor stadiums that have been recreated by Flying Canuck) like I said before, but here's a list of the new moves:

Kyoto Aces stadium model will change from Saitama Dome 2002 to Fujidera Stadium (will still be called Fujidera Stadium)
Fukuoka Vipers and Fukuoka Rings will move into Heiwadai Stadium
Tokyo Kinshi will move into Korakuen Stadium
Nagoya Dolphins will move into Nagoya Stadium
Osaka Stars will move into Osaka Sports Park (modeled as Koshien Stadium)
Osaka Bulls will move into Osaka Stadium
Shrine Stadium, home of the Shinjuku Jaguars, has had its name changed to Heisei Jingu Stadium
The Sapporo Cranes will move into a new fictional stadium inspired by ECFH.

Honestly, it hurts my eyes if I look at their page for longer than 1 minute, which makes a long term save impossible. I tried to change the background color and text color, but it did not help.

Well I have some news for you. I just did a rebrand that switches the green from neon to dark green. Now it looks like an ugly sweater at around Christmas time.

Always love to see new stadiums for the teams! The JPBL has quietly become a universe I've spend many hours in at this point.

Any chance we could see a quickstart that would include historical data for the teams back to 1950? I think it's been discussed previously (perhaps for '24) but can't remember correctly. It seems like the last pillar for this mod to knock down to make it wholly complete in my eyes.

Great job as always from you and the rest of the collaborators as well. Project Isekai no Yakyu continues to fill the [REDACTED]-sized hole in my OOTP heart.
