FYI, the LH Detroit batter with no logo on his helmet in the same run of images is a '60s minor league first baseman named Mike Christino.

Outfielder, Richard Haines was a perennial prospect
in the Phillies farm system through the late 1950s and
early '60s. Like Joe Cherry and Leonard Clendenin
(pictured above) he never quite made it to the majors,
despite being one of the team's most prized prospects.
The closest the Jersey City, NJ high school star got to
the big leagues was having his photo and bio placed
in the Top Prospects section of the 1959 and 1962
Phillies Yearbooks.

Though Coggins is a great find - in the same new Topps batch are two images of Diego Segui of the '67 A's wearing the white cap. This was part if a now inexplicable controversy about the A's "showing up" opponents with white shoes, and Chicago and Washington "retaliating" with white caps in one or two games. This led the A's to escalate with frequent use of them. I've seen JD McCarthy images of the A's in these before, but never Topps.

Also in there is Bob Chlupsa, briefly of the '70 Cards.

Fisher's great-grandson was kind enough to share this much clearer version of the only known photo of his great-grandfather. Photo was provided by the Eagle (AK) Historical Society and shows Fisher in front of his home in Eagle.

I've had this photo for years, never could figure out who it is.

On the reverse, 'Robert Thomson 1952' is typed.

Not too many Thomsons in pro ball ... and no 'Thompson' s who played for the Pirates in the early '50s.

Any ideas?
