The image below was identified at source as Buck Herzog 1918 , Boston Braves.

Interestingly the player appears to have a number on his back thereby challenging this identification.

I would be grateful if anyone could help with the identification of the player depicted.

The visible number is a 3 and the Braves didn't start using numbers until 1932 so that rules out Buck Herzog.

The Welzer image indicates that we now have the true identity of the image wrongly previously identified as Hal Wiltse in the facepack.

The player next to Odom looks like Lew Krausse to me.

This is the only other color image I have of him in a Cardinals uniform.

Here are a couple of Mike Marshall from his days with the Minnesota Twins (1978-80) if anyone needs them. The postcard is from the 1979 Twins team issued set and the photo is from game action in either 1978 or 1979.
