Pitcher Bennie Griggs was the brother of Negro League players Acey and Wiley Griggs. Bennie only played in the minor leagues of the Negro Leagues, hurling for the Chattanooga Choo Choos and New Orleans Creoles in the 1940's, but he is recognized by the Negro Leagues Players Association on their website. He is shown here in the uniform of the Saskatoon Gems of the Western Canada League.

This head shot probably came from the same photo as was posted on page 8 of this thread, but this close-up allows us to read the letters "BG" on the cap and confirm that the team was the Bacharach Giants. The original posting was unclear about the uniform.
