Willie Bunn
Willie Bunn was a pitcher with the 1943 Philadelphia Stars. When the attached photo was published, Willie had become a member of the Atlanta Black Crackers. I think the writing on his chest reads "Atlanta" and so this is a Black Crackers uniform.

Many Thanks for the heads-up ... decided to give these players, their middle name, to avoid confusion ... for I have several pics of these players, in which, clearly two distinctive looks ... again, thanks ...

Juan Padron
Juan Padron was a pitcher with the Cuban Stars during the 1918, 1919, and 1921 seasons and with the Chicago American Giants in 1924. He is shown here in what I think is a Cuban Stars uniform associated with New York. There is an "NY" visible on his cap. Thanks, Jabez54, for bringing him to my attention. I'm guessing that the older encyclopedias had attributed some of those years in the Negro Leagues to Luis Padron, but the research behind the Seamheads database has updated the records and has discovered that Juan Padron was the pitcher with these teams during these later years. The older encyclopedias and registers didn't list Juan Padron.

Clyde Parris
Jonathan Clyde Parris played 1B, 3B, and OF for the New York Black Yankees, Louisville Buckeyes, and Philadelphia Stars during the 1946 to 1949 period. He is shown on the left in the uniform of the Montreal Royals and on the right in the uniform of the Elmira Pioneers. At one point, there had been a head shot of him in the Elmira Pioneers uniform posted on this thread, but it seems to have been removed.

Javier Perez
Javier "Blue" Perez, 3B, is shown in the uniform of the Homestead Grays. There was previously a photo of Javier posted on this thread showing him in a Negro Leagues uniform -- that of the New York Cubans. The reason I posted this photo is that I pondered quite a while on whether this player was Jose Perez or Javier Perez. The caption of the source photo called him Jose "Blue" Perez, a third baseman. The source photo was a picture of the 1937 Homestead Grays. The Negro Baseball Register, by Clark and Lester, has Jose Perez's career ending in 1937 and has him playing with the Homestead Grays, whereas Javier Perez's career doesn't begin until 1942 and he doesn't play for the Homestead Grays. But other sources contradict Clark and Lester. James Riley's encyclopedia has Javier Perez with the Grays in 1937. Baseball-reference.com also has Javier Perez with the Grays in 1937. The Seamheads.com database doesn't go any later than 1936, but it looks like they conclude that Jose Perez's Negro Leagues career has ended by then. A photo of Jose from the 1920's looks as though his face had fully filled out, and that he would have looked older by 1937 than this fellow in the Grays uniform in 1937. So all that left me to conclude that this is Javier "Blue" Perez.
