It's still mid-season but it seems fate is desperately trying to get us a three-peat of the playoffs. I mean, I know just a week or so ago I said that wasn't going to happen, but if you squint a bit now, it's looking... awfully familiar... Or I should say things are moving in the right direction...

Nordhagen Beach swept Sunshine Tidings (#19) and then won 2 of 3 at County Crossing (#17). University Point (#2) trails Nordhagen Beach by four games, but they do have the second-best record in the CBO. The Deathclaws split with Diamond City (#3) , including a 10-inning loss, and then won 2 of 3 over Jamaica Plain (#12) with Saturday and Sunday's scores being 9-0 and 6-0. The Dwellers started the week slowly, losing both of their home games to Atom (#7). However, Vault 81 found their swing at Roxbury (#23) with a three-game sweep. Concord (#5) closes out the Top 5 with a 3-2 week. They lost their first series of the week to Easy Town (#11) but then swept Starlight (#14), which has been struggling of late with a 2-5 June to drop them out of the current playoff standings. Wilde rocked opposing pitching for a .455 average (5-for-11), 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. Wilde is currently batting .328 with 17 home runs and 44 RBIs. 2301 Youth Leagues Playoffs
BNN Youth Leagues Monthly Report This Month in the BYDL, CCYL, and PJPL by Nat Wright-Kawolski BYDL Final Standings Analysis In the second year of the associated Boston Youth Development League, there were some definite haves and havenots. Boston Common showed itself to be senior-heavy last season, while Lynn Pier has been even better than a year ago in their pursuit of winning the Boston Youth Series. They will have to get past Beerthirty, the 2299 champions, in the North Region playoffs. Pleasant and Concord-Lexington can also knock the cover off the ball, but they are a step below the Sippers and Gamers. In the South Region, South Beach and Spectacle Island took the Samuel Morse and Samuel Adams divisions, respectively. Jamaica-U Point and Diamond City both snuck in the playoffs. The Newsboys have been good for three straight years, but they dropped the Boston Youth Series two years ago, lost in the NR championship to the Baby Bellies last season, and enter as the last seed this season. Playoff Tree CCYL Final Standings Analysis The Cape Cod Youth League decided to reinvent and reset itself this season, to go with adding more teams for an even 8. That meant that some of its stars from the last couple of seasons appear as though they never played ball before--see SP Jimmy Capcollector of Provincetown closing out a stellar Cape Cod career but only showing a 7-2 career record with the new CBO affiliation. Speaking of Capcollector, his Land Pirates took the division for the third straight--oops, first-ever season. They played in a tight race, taking the North Division by just two games over both the Eastham Rads and Wellfleet Settlement Beacons. In the South Division, the Chatham Lighthouse also just pulled out the title, beating out the Harwich Fishheads by two games and West Dennis Menace by three. The Lighthouse were led by Darryl Archideld (6-1, 1.47) and C Sleve McDichael (.320/11/35). Cape Cod Series Preview PJPL Current Standings

To mix things up, a comment not about the top level: I feel as if, given my name and previous fandom, I should have an opinion about the Orange Tourists being top and Quartz being bottom.... and I guess I do have an opinion on it: conflicted

Speaking of some of these moves, I was considering actually using finances in my dynasty to make sure good players are not moving to the NWL or VIML. So far, only a handful of contributors at the CBO level have moved to the other leagues, with SP John Diner and RF Melon Sanderson being the biggest names so far. If it gets out of hand, I will reconsider. Sanderson was an all-star in 2298, hitting .333/23/85 with a 4.8 WAR. However, it looks like he took a bit of a ratings hit. Despite that, he is the premier NWL player, hitting .475/21/55. It may be time to force a trade back to the CBO for a number of contributors. Orange has LF Tom Mastodon now. He was never going to be a top player in the CBO, but he could be a star in the NWL. He only played in seven games for Orange before getting hurt, but he is the third-rated player overall behind Sanderson (Wild) and Diner (Victory).

I'm always a fan of using finanicals. That said, you have perhaps the most unique situation on the forum, so calibrating it would be... difficult, and I'm not sure if adding that to your plate is something you want to do. Unless you have a model you can quickly adopt, in which case, fair enough, even if it isn't a 1 to 1 fit. That said, as I said in some of the other dynasties I've been following, I've thought about financials way to much, so if you want to bounce any ideas off me, feel free. Hell, even that "sports in Elder Scrolls" conversation we had recently started, at least on my end, because I was wondering about the *profitability* of sports in that universe as opposed to the competition, so you can safely say I have no life

I'm also annoyed every time I type Quantum B or Rayburn Point AAA, so the minor leagues for the NWL and VimL are probably going to get their own names and teams after 2301.

I also started playing with Steve Staud's Standings Simulator. There are several things I would need to change to qualify it for use on my Fallout dynasty. However, with a few tweaks to try to simulate the rest of the 2301 CBO season, here are the latest projections of only the NCA:
1. Nordhagen Beach (69-39) - Rest of season: 23-25 2. Fort Hagen (57-51) - 26-22 3. Salem (61-47) - 25-23 4. Abernathy (57-51) - 22-26 5. County Crossing (56-50) - 26-22 Worst cotender finish = Concord (50-58) - 18-30
