No, but I am an 80's maven and I'm looking for him too, so I'll keep my eyes open. I'm looking for Duane Walker and Paul Householder as Cardinals also.

Most of the images posted here in the style of 1966 Topps cards of the Braves are from my personal collection and were never intended for distribution nor uploading to the Internet.

Not only did I not authorize this, but the poster was notified by the man who made the card-like images that to post more of them not only compounded a mistake made by the creator of the card-like images, but more importantly, puts this site at risk because many of the images are copyrighted by large companies that basically leave all of us alone here in our hobby because we do not abuse their indulgence by posting dozens and dozens of their images at a time - with watermarks removed, no less.

And yet more of these images have been posted despite the warning.

I urge the moderator to delete these posts as soon as possible.

I'm curious as to how you've become judge and jury over what gets posted here. The fact of the matter is that everyone who has ever posted anything on this site has "put this site at risk". Unclear to me how you've become a spokesman for large companies and what their view of the postings on this site are - what they'll indulge us with and what they won't.

Yes, there does appear to be a recent trend to prohibit contributors rather than encourage them, also puzzles me as to if images are in your private collection how they even got into the possession of the poster. I would have also thought that this site takes more safeguards than most to not put it at risk.

It's a complicated situation but Merkle provided additional details which led to my decision to remove the posts. My decision is, as UK mentions above, one of those safeguards to ensure that the forum is at less risk. After reviewing all of the information available I deemed the potential risk too great to allow the posts to remain.

I saw the addition of the baseball cards of the 1966 Atlanta Braves players the other day and it drew my interest, but was too busy to download them at that time. I was particularly interested in some of the big stars like Aaron, Mathews, & Alou, plus as a Phillies fan I intended to print out any of the players who played a portion of their career with the Phillies. I was pretty peeved when I went back to download them this morning only to find they had been removed. In the 3 1/2 years that I've been a member here this is the first incident I can recall where someone has removed the photos they've posted. If the photos/cards of the first Braves team in Atlanta was not intended to be shared then how did they wind up on a photo-sharing website.....DUH.

Agreed. Complicated and it's not at all clear how to proceed most of the time without a lawyer sitting on your lap while you're typing on the PC. Plus we baseball photo enthusiasts are like snowflakes - all different. Everyone has their own set of priorities as to what we would like to see

I'm naïve in these situation, for I am different from the others in this regard ... consider me 'old fashion' ... I am very passionate with Baseball and its history ... for I love to see old pics of former players ... and if I see better photos than the ones in my collection, than I go ahead and modified the photo to a singular headshot ... otherwise, I enjoy the views ... same as with logos and ballparks ... sheesh, I am thankful I was able to view some of the former Braves and downloaded them - to improve my collection ... what I don't understand is why is this an issue ... I don't look for ways to make a profit but to enhance my Game with these wonderful pics ... are there money involves in this??? ... whatever I have from this site, are all there in my folders, nothing else ... why are there little nipping among us, it's just a beautiful Game ... As I getting closer to retirement, I long, more and more, for the simplicity, the pureness and the FUN, since the late 50's ... hence, here I am in this fantastic Forum ... enjoying the camaraderie among Baseball mates ... seeing all these wonderful goodies ... and yet, every now and then, this crops up... always wondering why ... it's just a Beautiful Game ... Time is short, let enjoy the Game and its contents to the fullest ...

Let me draw an at-least-partial analogy:

I have several images in my collection which are private. They were shared with me on the condition that they not be exhibited publicly. I have, in very select cases, passed a restricted image on to someone else with explicit instructions that they not be shared further. If any of those images were to show up here I would remove them because they were never intended for public sharing.

Forum users have generously shared tens of thousands of images here. Let's not get too wrapped up in the removal of a few photos.
