Eddie Plank pitched well enough to win but so did Luthor Taylor. The Giants broke the tie in the 11th but Brooklyn tied in back up until the bottom of the 12th when Sam Crawford hit a bases-loaded single to give the Superbas the 4-3 victory.

WP - Jim St. Vrain (3-1)
LP - Chappie McFarland (17-16)

Record - 80-52

Gene Wright had a terrible day, giving up 6 runs in 3 innings. The bullpen shut things down the rest of the way but Brooklyn couldn't make up the gap, falling 6-5 to the Phillies.

Sam Crawford hit a three-run home run!

WP - Red Donahue (16-21)
LP - Gene Wright (15-11)

Record - 81-53

Three games left in the season and the Superbas played like they were looking for a golf course.

SEVEN errors on the way to a 15-2 loss to the Giants.

Plus, reliever Otto Hess left with injury. Hopefully it is something he can work off in the off-season.

WP - Luther Taylor (14-17)
LP - Jim Hughes (20-12)

No such luck. Otto Hess tore his labrum and is out for 9-10 months.
