iOOTP will be MLB Manager 2015 this year and, yes, it will have the license too.

"MLB Manager" sounds like one of those games that are "free", but takes pouring money into it to be any good. Will that be what this one is like? I assume not...

Definitely not. MLB Manager will be priced the same way iOOTP has been since it debuted in 2011: $4.99 for the game, with 3 historical seasons included free and additional past seasons available for 99 cents each/10 for $5/all of them for $19.99 (or was it $24.99? Sorry, I forget).

If we ever add any other in-app purchases, we'll never structure the game so you have to buy them to have any success, like so many iOS and Android games these days.

It's a 100-based stat (so 100 is average, more is above average) based on Fangraphs' flavor of runs created. I'd like to see wOBA too FWIW since that seems to be the stat all the stat nerdzzz keep going to lately.

Yeah, wRC+ is essentially like OPS+, except instead of figuring out a player's OPS relative to league average, it uses the more advanced stats like wRAA/wRC/wOBA.

It will be released opening day of the Grapefruit League.

Then the 1st patch will be released on MLB Opening Day with updated rosters. It will be a solid release, as per usual.

The remaining patches will mostly add stuff but occasionally something really immaterial slips by and it is quickly patched.

That's what I think.

I can't find a link to the Linux software download that actually works. I have tried from the main site and from the licenses page. The link I'm trying is http://files.ootpdevelopments.com/oo...tup.bin.tar.gz which produces a page error. Has anyone successfully downloaded this compressed file?

Maybe it won't be available until OOTP16 is released?

I understood that it was released already because the grapefruit league has opened. It would probably be helpful if the email confirming the licenses indicated that the software isn't available yet or if the link indicated such instead of looking like a website error. Anyway, I've had this happen in past years with the linux link after the release so I thought it was that again.
