Have you tried adding the OOTP folder to the Privacy tab in Spotlight under System Preferences to prevent Spotlight from indexing it? I'm curious if that will make a difference.

I've always done that for OOTP folders (and it's a great thing to do!), so that's not the cause for me.

I put the game on Auto Play to see how my Bucs would do. Unfortunately, they faded while the Cards pulled away.

So, in June, I put Neil Walker on the block. One of the teams who offered were the Cards, who offered Adam Wainwright, their best pitcher. And, why would they want Walker when Wong was already at 2b?

I hate the Cards, so I made the deal and then dealt Adam away for Mike Minor. The Cards faded, and didn't even make a Wild Card. Yay.

Usually, when I play a season, I turn off the trading button, but one of the reasons for the Quik-Sim was that I wanted to see if it got better. Unfortunately, if this this trade is any indication, it is worse?

****Also, is there a button that the Commish has to approve all deals? If not, it would be nice to have one. I can put myself in charge of EVERY team, but that is too cumbersome.

****On the subject of evaluating players. In real life, a team can trade a guy like Walker for some young talent. However, for some reason when asking for a 20/62 player from another team, to make it work, they seemingly want my '70' players.

Yet, when I offer a 20/78 player, like Taillon, I get nothing but garbage offered back (20/21s, etc). This, too, needs to be fixed, imho.

I considered that an improvement! Why would you want to go back to mystery injuries that nobody can even tell you what they are?

It would be one thing to tell some info, but it wouldn't really be a "delayed diagnosis" if you got the diagnosis told to you? If I see my player has a delayed diagnosis for "Tommy John", well, I think I have an idea what that injury is about...

That isn't what I am saying. It should say what the injury is, not the full diagnosis is.

I want to know if he left the game with a sore elbow, twisted knee, pulled groin... whatever.

Now it says he left the game for no discernible reason. That just doesn't make sense.

It is one of the fixes that I have asked about for the last couple of years... and was one of the few things (along with the Owner's goals) that made me especially happy on this release.

That is, when I could still actually PLAY the game.

(Side note: Can I just explain how much I LOVE being told there is nothing wrong with the game when it crashes every time I try and play it? Then being told I should try and figure out the problem myself? Great service there guys...)

I agree. We should at least know what part of the body a player injured. Not knowing tends to make my mind go to the player left the game for some really embarrassing reason...STD, Hemorrhoids, etc. Then a day or two later I find out he twisted his ankle.

Sorry, I totally disagree. When I leave the game because I twisted my ankle I have no clue what exaclty is wrong, it could be all sorts of different injuries, and I am pretty sure I need a doctor who can tell me the exact diagnosis.Mentioning the budy part though is a good idea. We'll add that in a later patch.

Have you submitted a support ticket like I asked you to ? We are no magicians, we do the best we can to find out the problems, but sometimes, in extremely rare cases, the game simply does not work on a certain system for unknown reasons. If that is the case for you, you can get a refund of course.

Just another reason I love this game. Thanks for listening.

Markus, in the long run, this could be something that could be expanded on for immersion. Say a pitcher has to leave a game for elbow stiffness/soreness. We could get an email saying the player will be sent to see Dr. Vinnie Boom Bats the specialist in this type of injuries....diagnosis pending.

Yes, I've talked with Matt about this already, we want to greatly increase immersion in regard to injuries for OOTP 17.

That was the response to my support ticket.

I am going to download the new version today and see how that goes.
