The Jays seemed to have this game in hand but closer Greg Holland gave up three run homer in the 9th and the Mariners walked-off the Blue Jays, 4-3.

Kyle Schwarber homered for Toronto.

An 8th inning error by Kyle Schwarber cost Toronto the game as they fell, 6-4 to the Mariners.

The Jays saw home runs from Cavan Biggio, Rowdy Tellez, and George Springer.

We expected Marcus Semien back within a week but now the trainers are saying it is less clear when he will be available.

Bad news.

Brenton Doyle of Vancouver was named Player of the Week for his Short A league.

For the Bigs it was Justin Upton, Angels & Kolten Wong, Brewers.

The Blue Jays fell to #6 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Luis Alexander Basabe is placed on waivers.

Santiago Espinal is called up from Buffalo.

Not only did Shohei Ohtani pitch the Blue Jays to an 8-3 win over the Nationals, but he went 2 for 4 in the process.

Cavan Biggio hit his 12th home run of the year.

Bad news, though. George Springer left the game with hamstring tightness. He will likely need a couple of weeks on the IL.

Not only did the Blue Jays lose, 3-2, to the Nationals but the recent problems Toronto has had with injuries continued as Giancarlo Stanton was forced from the game.

It was not as serious as some recent injuries but he will likely miss the next couple of games.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. also went deep for Toronto.

Francisco Liriano signed with the Jays before the season started, trying to get back to the Majors.

He has come to the realization that it won't happen and has decided to hang up the glove at the age of 37.

He had a 13 year career, with the largest chunk of that time coming with the Twins and Pirates. He also appeared with the Tigers, Blue Jays, White Sox, and Astros.

Toronto also saw homers from Giancarlo Stanton, Danny Jansen, Cavan Biggio, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The Yankees also won so the Jays still trail by one game.

Trent Thornton pitched well but the Jays were still down 1-0 going into the 9th.

Until Lourdes Gurriel Jr. forced extra inning with a home run, setting the stage for Danny Jansen, who entered the game as a pinch hitter in the 8th.
Jansen blasted a three-run homer to give Toronto a 4-1, walk-off win over the Tigers.

WP - Mike Montgomery (2-0)
LP - Tarik Skubal (2-8)

Record - 76-47

The Yankees also won.

What a day for Triston Casas! He had his first Major League appearance and he went 2 for 4 including a 9th inning, walk-off Grand Slam, capping off a 7 run inning to give the Jays a 9-5 win over the White Sox.

Giancarlo Stanton and Rowdy Tellez also homered for Toronto.

The Jays still trail the Yankees by one game.

Nathan Eovaldi didn't allow a hit until the 7th and shut out the White Sox on only two hits. The Blue Jays won, 3-0.

That is five wins in a row for Toronto.

Santiago Espinal left them are after being hit in the hand by a pitch. He will likely only need a day off.

The Toronto power bats were booming today. Giancarlo Stanton homered and drove in four as the Jays beat the White Sox, 12-6.

Also going deep for Toronto were Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Marcus Semien, Bo Bichette, and Yoshi Tsutsugo.

Cavan Biggio left the game with back pain. We await word.
