Charlie Hudson 1972

The lefty, not the 1983 Phillies righty. Never seen him before in an Angels (1975) uniform. Topps Vault, obviously

Curious case of Jim Hutto

Considering that the pride of Norfolk split his MLB playing between two years...1970 and years later in1975. The right handed swinging Hutto had over 100 PAs when breaking in with the Phils, then it took another 5 seasons before surfacing back up for just 5 PAs with the O's.

Here he gets his due for those 5 ABs and as well as a pit stop for what appears to be him in the Angels camp in '72 (since he played for the Salt Lake City Angels in '72 & '73)

Dane Iorg 1977

With the team with which he debuted, the Phillies. This looks like spring training 1976:

Jim Hughes - Twins mid 70s

Some folks referred to this Twins pitcher ('74-'77) as Bluegill. For this pic I think he should be referred to as Jim "Happy" Hughes....

Red Booles 1909

Some tremendous stuff in the latest offerings at RMYAuctions.com (closes Sunday 1/18), including Seabron Jesse "Red" Booles, who pitched exactly four games for Cleveland in 1909. His entire professional career lasted just two seasons, and though he's in the popular Contentnea Cigarettes 1909 color series with Raleigh of the Eastern Carolina League, this is the only other image I've ever seen of him.

Earl Yingling 1912

Three full seasons as a National League pitcher in the 'teens but the first time I've seen him in the uniform of the Naps, for whom he debuted in 1912:

Moxie Meixell 1912

Three major league games in his life - all of them for Cleveland, all of them in July, 1912.

This is some Cleveland-centric archive RMY has gotten a hold of.

Frank Rooney 1914

Back-up first baseman for the Federal League Indianapolis Hoosiers at the start of the 1914 season.

As noted in the RMY lot description, this is not just a rare photo of an obscure player, it actually depicts him in the uniform of a failed outlaw league. He's shown with the 1913 Cleveland Green Sox of the Federal League (a team managed by Cy Young; a league so forgotten that this and another Green Sox image they sold last month are the only memorabilia I know of from the entire league).
