A loaded, losing team ... seven members of the Opening Day lineup went on to solid MLB careers: Langston, Valle, Davis, Tartabull, Darnell Coles (already in AAA when this photo was made), Presley, Calderon. Langston and Davis went on to be Rookies of the Year and Calderon was 1983 SL batting champ. Serna, Diaz, Nielsen, Long also reached the majors -- but this team had a losing record.

Note: front row, second from right, is the "lost" Stottlemyre. Jeff did not reach the majors. This was his final season as a pro.
Tom Brennan, middle of middle row, stands 6-foot-6.

I was really hoping that this was Billy Baldwin, OF of the '75 Tigers.

Alas, my eyes tell me though that based on his number and his looks, that this is the Detroit native Ike Blessit, suiting up for his hometown team as part of a total of 5 ABs in his only year in the bigs.
